New line website up

The afterbangs and the stepup look almost the same on the spec but the stepup is heavier? Think i'll go for the 166 afterbangs this season. Think they look sick!

Too bad the chronic isn't even wider to show off the amazing art. Go google chow martin and look at some of his work, it's incredible. So much detail and such a sick style. I was disappointed when I heard they were taking away the crows, but the half bear half human thing is gnar. And it's on a shirt too.

Afterbang has a VERY similar graphic. I'm not digging the graphics on any of the skis to be honest. Even the EP pro models are kind of losing it. They used to be SO ill. They look good, but nothing comparable to what they used to be.

I'd love to know why they chose to drop the Chronic and Anthem both in the same year, considering they're widely regarded as two of the best park skis ever.
I know the step up is supposed to be a replacement for the chronic, but why?
Why fix what isn't broken? I'm not convinced about the skate deck construction at all.

I know sponsored riders who hate their Afterbangs falling apart, so I agree that it seems weird to throw out two very popular skis that have held up well in the past.

Hey guys, it's JLev here, going to try to answer your questions in few words

Anthem/Afterbang - Was my favorite too but when afterbang came out, Anthem sales dropped big and afterbang 88 waist replaces anthem with similar flex and only slightly narrower, try it and you won't miss it.

Chronic/Stepup - good stiff ski in park but very directional geometry & mounting. if you moun it center that goes against the shape. we built stepup using more durable construction and symmetric geometry & center mounting using same chronic flex pattern for better stiff ski performance specific for park . If you liked chronic for all-mtn versatility now you've got slightly wider Cryptonite which performs better with width all-mtn and park versatility

Elizabeth - when we added shorter lengths of Bacon, sales went to almost no Elizabeths last year because so close in width and now bacon has early rise so everyone moved to shorter length bacons

Chronic Cryptonite - call it the chronic if it feels better, I do because it's the exact same ski feel, flex, geometry, construction but slightly wider and now that we have 2 park specfiic skis soft afterbang and stiff stepup there is no need for a 85waist chronic. the 92 width and directional shape makes more sense for all-mtn/park versatility for more float and stability.

thanks a ton for being down with Line to the point of knowing the history of these products with the passion you do. we build this stuff for you so keep speaking up and we'll keep progressing with you

J

that's really interesting, I would have loved to try the lizzies. it makes sense though, Im very down with the new line up.
thanks for the answers Jason

Brilliant, thanks Jason.
I knew there'd be a reason for it all. I have to agree after skiing 93mm anthems, the regular chronics are pretty redundant when the 92mm cryptonites would be more versatile and 97% as good in the park as the chronics were.
Loving all the graphics by the way.
