New Lens?

Hiya

I'm looking into getting a new lens soon, what are some fun lenses to film with, and what lenses shoot well. Right meow im looking at a sigma 10-20mm. Is there any lenses that are similar to this that are worth looking at?

Jordan you are a god among men to have patience for threads like this these days.

But yes to reiterate what he has stated you need to know what we are currently building off of and the money you have to spend and the camera to go with it.
 
Assuming that you're using a canon rebel of sorts, check out the Tokina 11-16 of 12-24. Much better picture and build quality. Also, this topic has been covered many times before.
 
Tokina 12-24 f4. Period.

The sigma sucks, and the 11-16 is too small of a zoom range while being 200$ more than the 12-24.

If I had a crop body, I could have a 12-24 and a 50 and just about call it a day.
 
24-105 F4 IS. they go used for like 600 at most.

Every standard and long focal length you'll need. pairs amazing with the tokina 12-24. throw in a couple of faster primes like a 28 f1.8/35 f2/Sigma 30 f1.4 and a 50 f1.8 and you can just quit there.
