New K2/Full Tilts

Fresh of off Toms story. First impressions for me, it looks very similar to the First Chairs from last year. Could look worse! What do y’all think?

I just saw this! I actually really like these. The color scheme is ? It sucks that they aren’t branded as Full Tilts anymore, but at least we can still get Full Tilts ?

They'll probably go up with all the people looking for a comfortable boot that avoided FT due to them being "freestyle boots"

What's everyone's thoughts on the full cable adjustments? I heard they had durability issues and the ladder/cable combo solved those. Interesting k2 is goin full cable
 
If you are going to avoid buying a boot that fits you because of the brand printed on the side, then you are the virus. Every time these threads pop up, it makes me happy to see the Full Tilt brand disappear. Terrible name first of all, followed by a horrendous way of marketing making any bootfitters job a nightmare when some park jabroni comes in.
 
Cool to see the boots continue. Probably won’t ever get full tilts again after i get new boots, but it’s nice to see them live on as K2.

I would assume they would have to be right? Because all they did was absorb FT. At least I’m hoping they are. They don’t look to have changed much on the boots posted other than colors and name.
 
I’m really curious for the pro athletes or any sponsored athletes how this works out. Before FT would of been a independent boot brand essentially so you could ride other skis that weren’t K2. Now I feel like it could be a conflict of interest running two different brands that both make skis.

Except it’s always been owned by K2… All the pro models are back plus a new one.

Yeah I knew it was always owned by them. I was just curious with the branding aspect of it now. It has the actual K2 name now. Sometimes in sports that gets to be a weird area.

Lots of riders ski different brand bindings on a different companies skis. Your just overthinking it.

Sometimes the buckles ice up and then adjusting them becomes hard. Can be really frustrating. Both the old and new buckle systems have their proa and cons.

But these boots look better than I thought they would!
 
The move from FT branding to K2 branding is a good idea in my mind. K2 has a wicked boot line up with heaps of options.

Saw the whole line last week, they all look fucking sick. TBL Pro is my favorite from the line, super super clean

How’s the buckle function? Wonder if they are as much of an upgrade as I’m imagining or not

What buckle function are you talking about? They upgraded them like 5 years about when they went to all metal buckles. But it’s the same tried and true cable system.

Oh lmao I never noticed the new buckles all this time. Guess it’s probably been 6 years since I’ve seen a current full tilt up close
 
We just got the catalog for K2 new shit at work. Lemme just say you will not be disappointed!! Very dope shit coming soon

genuinely really like the direction that k2 is going. especially now with the full tilt merger and getting mcbskee on the team. on a hunch feels like they are trying to make the skiing side of the company more similar to the snowboarding side
