New iPods coming out?

Well like me my dad loves Apple and its the only computer my dad will ever buy. So the other day he told me that the new iPods might be coming out this week. My guess is that they will be touch and might have an aluminum shell. What do you guys think?
 
i have seen pics on mac rumors that they are touch screen which if that is the case i will never buy a new ipod again :(
 
i hate touch screen for many reasons;

my screen gets dirty enough and i try to avoid touching the screen

i like to be able to push a button through my pocket to change songs

touch screens are Not for skiing, the cold is hard on them

A touch screen is pretty much unusable when your hands are dirty or if you are woking
 
i dont' think it was announced. they basically just talked about the new ilife and imac at the conference. no new ipod i guess :(
 
the good thing about the new iPod is that it will revolutionary in the music world besides the fact that it might have touch screen is that they will likely upgrade the ram, processor, and the hard-drive/flash memory. That will be a plus. But it will be able to show photos like the iPhone and other accessories. Plus if they do make a Beatles Special Edition i might just have to get it because i love the Beatles

the ipod touch looks amazing, but sadly it just has so little storage space, its sad
 
haha yeah, i'm super stoked on the flash memory, but i just don't know how 16 gigs would work for me. i have 7.5 gigs of video alone on my 30 gig 5th gen. and i don't know how i'm gonna give up 10 seasons of south park. plus i have 15 gigs of music. i might be able to cut it down to the songs i like the most (theres some crap on my ipod i don't need) but 16 gigs is hard to handle. plus doesn't it use like 3 gigs for startup? so that leaves 13 gigs of actual storage.

i'm so pumped for it, but its gonna be a hard adjustment. if i get my free zune through club live and i can sell it then it'll make the decision a little easier for me
