New indoor skiing/board/bike facility in Sandy - Snogression

Kevin Brower is an amazing athlete. At least a dozen images of his skiing antics have been published over the past 4 or 5 months including a running add for Mammut, a double page spread in Powder's photo annual, and two shots in Red Bull Illume. Photog credits go to Steve Lloyd.

While he may be at his highest level of skiing so far in his careef as a sponsored athlete, he has basically left snow alone most of this season to get an awesome project off the ground. The project is Snogression. Snogression is an indoor bike/ski/board training facility. There are really only a handfull of legitimate facilities like this in the nation.

Inside, you will find a ramp/foam pit with a new fully automatic propulsion system called Hyperdrive. This system is unique to Snogression and totally awesome. I got to see it in action last night. This system allows for a lower ramp with less steps to climb for each return trip. Ramp surface can be changed for bike sessions. You will also find Olympic fly bed trampolines, two of which are placed up against the foam pits. With good demand, the facility has additional space for expansion and new features.

Snogression is an awesome joint. One can learn new tricks in a safe and condusive atmosphere before taking them to the snow or dirt.

Check out the schedule for session times and information.

Utard,

According to a Snogression facebook post, people have been throwing 7's and doubles on skis as well as spins and flips on bikes. I assume the answer to your question would be... "plenty of hangtime".

If anyone has a facebook account, "Like" Snogression for updates.

That cement wall, iron I-beam, wood fence, and what looks like hard floor might cause some problems down the road. He should definitely throw padding ALL around the trampoline area to help prevent kids from getting hurt.

Dude! i know you from the rail sessions i put on over the summer. I just got back from there for the first time tonight and snogression is pretty much the coolest thing to ever come to salt lake. Kevin Brower is a way cool guy and an awesome trainer. I got my back flip dialed and he taught me how to cork seven on one of his three sick tramps like it was nothing. the jump can be adjusted to little three's and big double cork 12s. He designed everything him self. He's legit! Go check it out man

Ya man I'm super stoked on it I wanna hit it up so bad I just have to wait til my collarbone's done being broken

Snogression uses a propulsion system called Hyperdrive. As I understand it from Kevin's description, it was invented for the facility. It is patented and proprietary. The speed can be set anywhere up to 30mph. Kevin said he's had everyone from 40 year old men to 9 year old girls on the ramp. The general consensus is that the system feels very smooth and intuitive.

The ramp can be adjusted to add more or less lip to the jump. The speed can then be adjusted and dialed to the rider and ramp set up.

Hit it up for the first time last night. Good times for sure. Tramps are sick, ramp is sick and kevins a boss. Many dubs and smiles all around!

place is so sick....the pull in system is so smooth and gives you plenty of speed...basically you grab onto this bar and push and hold down this little red button and then let go when you reach a certain point and then the bar flings forward out of your way....the speed can be adjusted as well and when it's at full speed, you can deff get a dub around. As far as the mandatory class goes, once Kevin sees that you don't suck and can hit a jump without eating shit down the ramp, you're good to go. So the mandatory class isn't a 2 hour "this is how you straight air a jump" type of class....it's just getting use to the pull in system which you'll be use to after using it once

The pull in system does look really well thought out. I want to go check this place out sometime.
