New Impreza

why does everyone keep saying that?! i think the new hatchaback Imprezas are awesome looking. sure, its not all hood scoops inlets and stuff, but its a much more mature design, and looks alot classier. if theres one thing i dont really like, its the front grill. but in person, they look money.
 
i think they could have done with differnt taillights, that last generation especially the WRX look a lot more muscular than the new ones
 
the 4 doors look more rediculous than the 5 doors in my opinion. i would drive a 5 door.

im glad they kept the older body style for the STi though.
 
only for the changeover year.   the new sti's (2008) have the new body style.   they are sick!
 
no sorry, economically for a company this wouldn't make sense to divide their production line like this. the 2008 body is the 2008 sti.
 
in all respect though, the only way id drive a 2008 subaru is if they gave me one...free....in wrc trim..

Imprezza's weren't big lookers in the first place... so I think it's about the same... the STi went downhill though. They could've made a sick wagon, but it looks worse than the older WRX wagons in my opinion... as long as the drivetrain is still ridiculous, it's a sick car in my opinion.
 
the new impreza kinda looks like all the other cars now. higher back end lower front end. kinda weird. i'd still take one tho.
 
i dont really think it makes sense that subaru likes to change the wrx/impreza every 2 years. not a fan of the new ones. i agree with the mazda comment.
 
The hood scoop on the four cylinder doesn't make you look faster.

it makes you look like a douche bag.

the more i see it the more it grows on me. i've always been a fan of wagons so a wagon-type sti (sure you could call it a hatch instead) is what i've always wanted. stock imprezas look way too generic in my opinion but so do a lot of other cars.

anyone remember when the first wrxs came out in the us? (02 bugeye model). everyone hated them and said they looked like neons, and a lot of poeple disagree with that now. new cars always have their critics, but everyone i've talked to that has had a chance to drive the new wrx falls in love with it and says its an improvement over the 07s as far as driving goes. thats what matters right?
 
I agree, that black one does actually look sick... I guess with the right external colors and modifications, it could look really sick... but I have a bad feeling I'm going to see some kid stick a wing on top of this.

Also, you can't really call it a hatchback, it has 4-doors, I thought all hatchbacks were 3-doors. Wagons are 4-door.
 
^people are always gonna rice shit out, regardless of the car. its kind of a cross between a wagon and a hatch, because not all 5 doors are wagons.

you're right, it doesnt make you look faster, it makes you go faster. it forces air onto the intercooler to give the turbo cooler air.
