New HD GoPro for >$200

Im looking at it and what are gonna be the differences from the normal Hd hero..how would the qualit be affected?.. cuz im interested

I really dont know for certain, it was just announced but Im 99% sure it will be the same quality as the current HD Hero, just minus the ability to shoot in 1080p, which most people on NS don't shoot with anyway.

The big question is if its limited to 960 30p, which would blow, or if it has the 720 60p that everyone uses on the current GoPro.

If it has 60p then buy

If it doesnt then buy the HD Hero 1080

Doubt it. Since the whole thing is encased in that plastic bubble, there's never gonna be much sound, I think.

I kinda agree Idgaf about 1080p but I care about getting 720p at 60fps so I'm going to be looking into getting this if they have that setting thanks for the info because I need to upgrade from my standard gopro

is the 720p 60fps only better than the 720p 30fps for slowmotion or is the 60fps better quality and less "lagging" for filming skiing

720 60p is great for slow motion. Having 60 frames shot per second shows more motion, and when you stretch it down to 30fps you get a clip 50% slower.

to jamie:

slow it down 40% to 24p!

to IHateOhio:

make it 24p to look better

to the jersey shore person:

it comes out this fall

Well since you guy all seem pretty interested I just emailed GoPro and this is what the said
Hello Tanner,

The HD HERO 960 will have the original 4 resolution modes (to include 720p at 60fps).

Unfortunately, we do not have a release date for the HD HERO 960 but anticipate it's release in the fall.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
Many Thanks,
