Hey guys,

Just finished a new video shot entirely with the GoPro HD. Check out some of the stuff you can do with this beast.

i think i might just break with joy if i got to see someone strap on one of these and do a super floaty and ridiculously dope cork 3 over a 70ish foot table... that would be the shot of the century

nice man. made me really wanna get down to mammoth when im back in california for break. and great song by the way...been jammin out to them all week studying.

Cork 3's look really sick on film. I gave hjorleifson a non hd one to use this past summer at COC and he got some sick shots with it. Can't wait til we have some big jumps. Mammoth just got dumped on with about 5 new feet so after I get back from Xmas, we should have plenty to work with.

Also, not really skiing, but here's an edit from Ice Skating! All with the GoPro as well.

Damn !
First of all: congratulations, you've made one hell of an edit !
Second, did you shoot the slowmo/slowed down shots in 60fps or regular 30fps?
third: what effect did you use to make the intro, where the road is sharp but the trees whizzing by are all blurry? can you explain plz?

when you dont have the camera strapped to your helmet how do you hold it ? you have some kind of stick you strap it to ?

dope edits.

Gharf, I just keep the clip on the camera (the one that fits into a helmet mount) and hold it, really easy.

And as for the tree effect - A mix of a few things but the primary is an effect called 'light rays' in Final cut, then some blurring of edges and vignetting.

Oh and shots were a mix of 60fps and 30fps. Obviously the really slow shots are 60fps. The timebase of this video is 24 fps, so I haven't made any of the shots slower than that from their original respective timebases. So the 30fps a sec shots will be about 75% speed, and the 60fps can go about as low as 40%
