New Goggles 2022

Hey NS, so I'm finally retiring my squad XLs after about 5 seasons of use. They are scratched up, fog like crazy, and I'm ready to try something new and looking for suggestions. I've looked at Anon M4 Toric, Oakley Fall Line/Line Miner, and Giro Contour/Contact. I do all of my riding in CO/MT and looking for great low light and blue bird lenses and overall my biggest concern is having the best lens tech. Easy swapping lenses would also be a plus and my helmet is the Giro Jackson in medium.

Thanks in advance!

I'm a goggle whore, but I'm absolutely satisfied with the Fall Line and Oakley Prizm. lenses aren't "quick change" but pretty quick to change nonetheless.

Have you compared the prizm to other lenses? I’m justhaving a hard time justifying spending roughly $200 on goggles without an easy change system. You say it’s not too much of a hassle?

If you ain’t tryna spend a lot then there are actually some pretty sweet goggles on Amazon for like $30. The only thing is, they won’t be the highest quality.

I am a big fan of the Glade Adapt goggle. $130 and the lens tinting technology actually works super well. AMAZING in low light conditions and tolerable on absolute blue bird days. I like always having the right lens for the day if the weather changes and this goggle always provides you with the perfect lens for the conditions.

The anon sync is quite nice. It’s got a secure magnetic lens so the lens changing system is really fast and they just look really good with their black lens on

The “quick change” is such a rip for more expensive goggles. I can’t think of a time where I needed it to change quick.

also oakleys go on sale so often plus hands down the best lens I’ve had, where I have two goggles now that I got for like 60-80 each

Really good to know. And true, quick changing is definitely just a bonus but you’re like the 5th person I’ve seen on here now talk about the Prism lense being the best.. thinking I’ll for sure go Oakley.

Interesting.. I’ve never heard of these, they look sick! Been happy with all conditions while skiing?

Yesterday at Killington I literally had all conditions in about 3 hours. I kept the green lens in and it held me down thru clouds, rain, hail, snow, and sun. After it stayed sunny fit like an hour I switched to sunglasses because I was getting too warm.

the other lenses are a blackish lens and a clearish/yellow lens. Prolly a super sunny day one and a very low light one.

it sounds funny but out of all the high end goggles I've tried recently, I'm really sold on the Atomic Four's. The lens technology is top notch, especially their sunny day lenses that actually have versatility when clouds roll in.

I ditched my Squad XLs this year. I switched the Oakley Flight Deck XLs with the pink prizm lens. Im a huge fan of that lens from back in the day when it was called the pink irdium. Couldn’t find anything that came anyway in quality and it makes the perfect all day and night lens. Great in just about any condition.

I also have a pair of Glade Adapt goggles. I really like them for bluebird days. The photochromatic lens works really good just not something I like when it starts getting dark.

Thanks for the insight!!

They are spendy but the zeal portal with the photo chromatic+polarized lens are the only goggles I'll ever have from here on out.

Used to get mad vertigo, all the block spots and shit, and time it was slightly stormy. These things fixed it basically completely. I also have the Jackson helmet and they fit real good on it

Interesting.. other than the chromatic lense what makes you like em so much?

Polarized had been a big help to me too with cutting out glare and seeing more contrast in the snow.

I also got quite big ass head (24 and 3/4" around) and they are super comfy

I will second this about Atomics - not an obvious choice but very impressed with the system and performance.

I though you were part of the Oakley Pink gang.

Hey! I know this is ultra late but just wanted to reply out my polite nature.

Anyways, i bought oakley line miners to fit with my Giro Jackson. There ended up being a much bigger gap than i thought. Ended up returning them.

I heard that all Giro goggles fit seamless with giro helmets. Got some giro axis goggles and they are crazy nice. I highly recommend those

Again, im sorry this is so late but hope it helped !
