Actually if you want to give it a try, the new player is live in the new contest pages:

Without the new uploader its still a pain in the ass to get a big HD file uploaded, so the input won't show the true HD output. However, you can get a feel for the player and see things in 720p right there.

Idk if it was just me, but both times I just tried to go to that link my computer froze for like 1-2 minutes. It was weird.

But I very much so love that edit/new video player! YE.

Hahahha... yeah trust me I know. There's lots of content we can't even add to the site because our uploader sucks so bad.

So yes don't worry, thats an important part of this which has been addressed. The new one is much nicer to use.

Yes. You need to compress more than that for web usage. You wont notice the difference streaming anyways.
