yeah we dont have many pics up. We have also not gone filing at all. But we are getting 20-30 inches of snow tomarrow so its safe to say that will be changing.
 
We are from Boulder, and we film with kids that have not gotten exposure yet., so you dont know them yet.....but you will.

Yeah we are changing the music, so its not creepy anymore. We just need a file that fits right. That was all we could find at the time.
 
Yup, please do compare. I made mine from scratch while you took a templete and tweaked some settings. Sick job. Granted mine would look much cleaner if the server it was on (free) didn't strip the pages of their formating and add in tons fo ads (I'm working on getting a new server, I jsut have 0 time and 0 money to do it with)

I didbn't look at the content, it's probably half decent, but for christ sake you're using a PHP-Nuke template. There is no need for shit that 'complex'. anywys, I'm done here, I stand by everything I've said.
 
a website and hosting costs like 20bucks a year. if you can't afford that you probably shouldn't be trying to start a production company.
 
who brags about a sweeet website honestly?........ and who cares about websites?........ you make ski videos, let the video do the talking, and so far, melvs video is free so it sounds like the best deal...... your not in the website industry, its the ski industry.......

I'm not tryig to start a production company. I never have claimed that. I film my friends, make videos, put them online... I make no money from it and never have expected too, it's just a hobby. And If I can do something for free, I'm going to, since it's just a hobby.
 
I seem to remember Josh Berman making a thread about the L1P site being up and nobody accuse him of bragging. I simply wanted you guys to check it out, since you are on NS and obviously dont have much better to do at the time.

And PHP NUKE allows us to do much more than we could otherwise do. We can add video, pictures, news stories, and other media on any computer in the world without typing any code or using any coding software. All we need is an internet connection.

It also makes it so that we can have our own forums, and a restricted forum so we can plan out as a company what we need to do. Our entire staff can upload a news story, the administrator will edit it and then post it. Users can even submit their own news stoires and media.

PHP NUKE also works off RSS feeds so we can post weather, snow reports, news stories and other stuff from different websites that use RSS feeds.

And dont give me shit about a PHP NUKE site when you are using a site (NS) that appears to be post nuke!
 
providing you actually know how to edit your site outside of the template, i would either set it up as a frameset or a flash shell that loads the content inside itself. that way your nav bar doesnt have to reload everytime a link is clicked. its annoying to hear that noise every time i click on a link.
 
That is a good idea. But flash shells are hard to deal with. I will have to see about that. I think just doing the flash bar as a seperate frame would be easier.
 
Until this point, I was in agreement with you.

BUt sure, maybe NS looks like it on the outside, but I know that it is a hand coded forum, all the code is written by the staff here, and it's not simply a 'template' site.

I believe you, we just used Nuke because we dont have thousands of dollars to blow on paying people to make our site and we dont have the time to make all our code from scratch. The website works and we payed for PHP Nuke, its just like buying Dreamweaver or any other code development software. We are not trying to take down NS we are trying to get some good riders the exposure they deserve and a good looking website, no matter how it is made, will help us achieve that goal. So please forgive me for cheating and using PHP Nuke and not re inventing forum code!
 
whats with you people? Seriously the site looks fine. Is that all that you base any opinions on anymore? Melvs doesn't look any better to me just a different style. Give people some props, be supportive, at least their are doin something with their time.
