Stemming from this thread I made a comment about their new site and decided it's a different topic and might deserve its own thread.

I used to frequent their site a couple times a week just to check out what was going on over the fence and see if there were any unique features. I enjoyed the Monday Morning Wake Up Calls and they were part of my routine.

They redesigned their site recently (I don't know how recently) and I don't even want to go back. Granted, everything is subjective, but the new layout doesn't make sense to me. It's hard to tell what's an ad, what's a feature, what's just a picture, and what's even clickable.

Does anyone else share this opinion? Disagree with it? Discuss.
 
Their site is disgusting. If you run Adblock it looks absolutely hilarious. It feels like the whole site is optimized for ads. Also, for being a print magazine their site is sadly lacking in any kind of worthwhile written content. I feel like NS, a completely online, crowdsourced site shouldn't be producing better long-form content than a leading print magazine but recently I feel like our news section has been kind of blowing them away. It sucks because I want to read more worthwhile, written ski stories.
