New football coach

so my highschool just hired a new football coach and i have to interview him for my school paper. its a really big deal around here and its an important piece. problem is that i dont know much about football and i really do not want to make a fool out of myself to the entire school

so i was wondering if anyone could help me think of some legit questions for this guy that would intrest the general public. any help would be plus k

some back round

- we lost almost all our games last year

- we have a decent confrence

- he used to be defencive coach

so anything at alll will be apreciated and rewarded
 
you could ask about how he is going to use his past experiance as a professional coach to help the high school,

also maybe what can the team expect for changes
 
ask him:

about offense/defense (which he... not prefers... but......) well, you get it

what he thinks of the team/has he met the players

does he have any plans for next year

what are his goals as a first year coach next year... i.e. win state? or win 50% of games? etc
