It was my first edit that was more pushed toward night time skiing and yes there is some day time but its not super sunny and i thought they contrasted nicely also it was my first time using crop marks with skiing and i know there is one shot where a rider goes super out of frame but he kinda got a lot higher than we expected on that trick so i did mess that one up but the rest i thought i kept the framing good.Enjoy.

I enjoyed it. Really cool to watch. The song was a lil weirdish but I didnt totally mind it. What were you shooting on? My guess is a tokina 11 to 16. But anyway. Great edit

Thanks and the lens was yes the tokina 11-16 and i was shooting on a canon 7d with the iso up around 2500 for most of the shots and the song is a little different but i enjoyed it

I liked it in general. Some of the shots went a little too long I think (sketchy rideaways, unnecessary clip length, etc) It wasn't a big deal at all but it kinda messed with the fast paced feel of the edit. Also, definitely work on keeping your glidecam a little smoother.

Sorry for being picky, just thought it'd be helpful

It was alright.

Exposure was generally pretty good looking, especially the night shots on the jumps, I liked some of the audio that you included with "woo"s and stuff, and the song fit but wasn't spectacular. Also it was a good length for an edit.

But I think that you had a lot of shots that started too early and ended too late, your glidecam work was pretty shaky at times, and you had sloppy sound design, especially on some of the clips of the kid in the yellow/white jacket with the wind (once you too obviously cut the audio from the clip after a trick and it was odd, and the wind was wayyyy too loud that it was fighting the music). I suggest you try fooling around with taking audio from other clips and using it to add sounds to clips that are too windy, too far away, etc. I'd also say that you need to get out of the "lap with the glidecam to stack shots" mentality and explore other creative ways of filming on tripods or sliders and such.

Finally, learn to write. This isn't even related to your video but nobody is going to take you seriously if you write in 400 word run-on sentences. After reading your horribly worded post, I already had a sour idea of you in my mind. I'm sorry if that sounds personal, but it's true, just write like an educated person.

I seem really critical but I try to point everything out that's wrong so that you can improve in the future. I think you're well on your way to making a better edit.

Thanks Gavin I'm still trying to make sure my glidecam is balanced with my new camera and mic, I used to have a t2i and standard rode videomic now I have the 7d and rode vmp. I do have the standard rode deadcat on the videomic pro but its not as good as id want it to be so I am looking for a different solution. Also I have played around with dubbing over audio from other clips when I am to far away and things like that but haven't used it in a edit yet. Last but not least I just got a slider to put on my tripod and since I'm addicted to motion I plan on trying to use it next time I go out and film a planned edit, and the clips that go on to long and stuff that is usally just me trying to lengthen the clip to fit the song or something like that next time I will find something other to lengthen it out.
