ok soo im looking for a new lens for my camera (sony A350). i have looked at mainly Sigma.

basiclly its hard to choose, wideangle fisheye 15mm f/2.8 or telephoto 50-500mm f/4.0-6.3. i want both but thats pushin it with the cash.--a bit

your thoughts....or even another options thanks!!

1. Fisheye and wideangle are different. Don't get a fish, that will get played fast.
2. Don't get that slow of a lens. Get a 70-200 or something faster.

fisheyes get whack really fast. A good fast wide angle is seldom matched. As for telephoto, I would personally buy a better brand if I was getting one, or at least one that's much faster...

the key thing is that a fisheye produces a spherical distortion (not hemispherical) whereas a wide angle just bends things slightly. A quality wide angle has no barrel distortion (strait lines are actually strait, but depth is still exaggerated.)
