stilloffetc i think after saying no, you should give this person an idea of what is a yes

yes is not Crabbe..the trannies are flat and the park setup is weakly linked together..no pipe...a good C rail and Rink

crabbe is a great hill though....good pitch some good trees and bumps...havwe a good one

crabbe isn't that bad. I used to ski there back when I live in NB. it's nice and close and if you can manage it a road trip to Sunday River, Killington, Jay Peak, Sugar Loaf etc... would be fun. That's what I always did... at least one trip to a real mtn.

You can have fun where ever you are if you really love skiing. :)

there's some good skiers at crabe, and just go to all the comps in nb and ns when possible.

style, attitude, drive that's all you need to suceed.

jjjibs, on the official site of crabbe its wrote that it has a pipe, a big air of 45 feet, a 2 kink rail, c rail. It looks like a nice litle park.

salmonQC, i didnt mean to make it sound like Crabbe is not up to par..it is without doubt the best hill in the maritme province. i am not sure if they are building a pipe, but there has not been one yet. the parks are good and i dont ride em enough to say alot..there was alot of complaints about the trainies from the locals thuogh..great place though! sorry to mis inform - peace

The reason why there were complaints from the wentworth boyz was cause everyone knows we cut up each others hillz. First off, wentworth has a fucking football field worth of flat at the TOP of their mountain...i debate if i need cross country skis or downhill??? hahahaha, just jokin' with ya...hmmn...well ya crabbe's park has been weak...I won't get into it...but crabbe over promotes their products...I admit that...and poor park layout, actually, i haven't been a big fan of any park i've ridden in atlantic canada...no flow...like a slopestyle comp without mandatory rails??? WTF??? hmmn...We need an unbiased park not built to a someone's specifications, but built for all levels of skillz. Hands down though, no one even comes close with urbans like Fredericton has...you could film a pro movie off of a square km. of rails here

'i bet you that if i punch your forehead it won't hurt'

First off, Crabbe has a far better fall line to ski than any other hill in atlantic canada, but there park is really really week. The area thay have set aside is too small and to flat. As for urban rails, yeah there may be some great rails up in fredricton and IM sure that your really familuar with them Jon, being banned and all from skiing at Crabbe or competing at wentworth, but rails do not make a terrain park, that is a rail park. As far as good flow, last year we had a decient park at wentworth but I just didnt have the room to do what I wanted to do. This year Ive asked to move some rails over to the pugwash trail to make more room for the bigger rails and bigger jumps. But you prob. wont be allowed to ski there anyway so it doesnt matter.

Also, Urban Rails dont pay the bills for the ski hills and without them you wouldnt be able to ski at all, so do both, support you hill, if you have one, and do urban shoots or what ever.

thor..urbans are not the key to the puzzle-your right. your park had some grat flow last yr. no one should deny that. at anytime four features could be linked together...keep your main focus on your table not rails...everyone here needs more airtime practice.--talkin bout me.

It would however be great to see your KICK ASS threesome of sick rails set in sync somehow...and put that crazy roller on a decline this yr. pleassseee..

but great job on the park last yr. man. yeah

cheers.

I don't think the roller coaster should be on a decline, but rather just all rails should be set up as if they are small tables. I agree, a skier shouldn't be judged on his rails alone, I didn't mean that by any statement I have previously made, just that if you look at mags/movies, rails are now 40% of what is filmed/advertised, hence, almost half of a skier. Wentworth's rails are the shiznit. I think attempting stuff like single barrel quad kink rails urban it strengthen's a skiers rail ability in the park where they are thicker. Thor I don't think I'm banned this year from Crabbe...but still gotta call up Norm and find out. I can't compete at Wentworth again, cause I was plannin' a JF styled comeback single comp maybe one weekend this season...I remember how big of a shock it was at the Anti-Gravity Grail 3 years ago when I hit never hit anything bigger than a 30 footer and stepped up to the just recently used X-games table of about 65+ feet...big shock...I know Thor's trying to do his best with what he has...What I think the hills around here should be working towards is the stuff that mags have, like the 15 foot high walls, etc...I realize it's expensive to buy this stuff...but fuck it's cool ass shit...like look at the wall/grind wall with two hits (one on both size)...peace

Id love to have the walls and some new rails for this season, but I can only buy what Im allowed, and right now IM trying to get a C-rail and its like pulling teeth because they dont think we have enough room. I said move some of the rails to the pugwash and that is an issue that is not yet settled. Urban rails are the craziest rails forsure and they make hill rails look easy. As far as I know you should be able to compete Jon but its up to Leslie in the end, not me. I have so many Ideas for a crazy park but it all comes down to getting the resources to do it, so come to Wentworth and ride, we need the numbers to prove that we are here to stay. Just think I used to get kicked off of the hill for the shit Im getting paid to do and build, the scene is changing around here but it is taking time.

Yea, I just moved to Sussex for college...I'm going to be getting a pass at Poley Mountain just because it's so close. I've heard from a couple guys up here it's not too bad, but I can't really say for sure.

Anyone else ride there?

thor..I know you probley are sick of people givin you ideas that cant work at wentworth for your park, but,

Is there enough room between the pipe and chair for your good rails..it seems like no one skied that stripe of the rosebowl anyway. just a thought..i dont really not if it doable..later.jj

Prob too close to the chair towers, plus I just cant put them anywhere becuase our insurance dictates that it must be in a inclosed park area, or at least that is what I have been told, and that there must be signs posted like helmets mandatory.

hartwick u know your shit....crabbe is cool , good skiing like 7 or 8 harcore skiiers, the park is weak but it has some good shit sometimes...

'I spend a month learning a misty flip and then vinnie goes out and does it with a grab'mike d

^its probley better to have no pipe..our hills just can't maintain the things..to much time and not enough knowledge..nor care to have one.

Were going to try some new things at Martock to take the moisture out of the snow before making the pipe.. hope it helps this year!!
