looking for healp with an inrun material... looking for non snow/ice inruns at the moment. read all the post about carpet, turf, soapy water... blah blah, dont wanna use that.

we bought some peg board which is glossy and slick on one side that we are going to use. but havent tested it out yet.

here is the inrun material.

looks sick. but i think you might need some kind of supports on the sides holding the vertical supports together. like, diagonal wood or soemthing. and please put coping on it. THE LEXAN WILL BREAK if you dont. I know. I spent 150ish buck on a sick box and the lexan broke. it chipped from the outside and cracked inward. def put coping on it.

Good to see you are challenging yourself.

maybe atlantaski wants michael innocent cuz he was molested by him 4 years ago when his dad sent him to neverland ranch for a day and now he wants michael free so he can penetrate one more time-Lateralis

If you dont use lexan... what would you use? I ask because im planning to make two 8 foot boxes when i get home from university. so many possibilities with 2 boxes and a good inrun.

Yea actually the car in my driveway is my moms camry, the box is a fucking beast and it actually isnt that heavy. No, we didnt use lexan we decided to use Acrylic sheet, its still stronger than plexi glass, but just not as strong as the lexan.

'Tanners going to win for sure, hes wearing bib number 420!'

O yea also we are using this adheasive shit that is really strong for plastics and stuff, so you think that is going to hold the Acrylic sheet to the wood? And for a landing we are just going to use a big sheet of this pegboard.

yeah we didnt get that lexan, it was going to be $65 for a 3' X 4' sheet and that was the thin kind. the thick kind was like $89 for the size we needed. i

we ended up getting the acrylic sheets that arent as strong for like $25. if they end up breaking we will just get some lexan probably.

i think we have spend $98 so far and we need about $30 more of wood for a ramp down and a kicker.

what is coping? i know of coping saws and saw blades. are you talking about cutting the top sheet with a coping saw?

or are you thinking of something else?

no, put small PVC on either side so the edges of the topsheet aren't showing... view from the end would be like o---------o

^ so do we have to grove it out of the wood or just screw it together with screws into the wood

'Tanners going to win for sure, hes wearing bib number 420!'

great idea... but if you look at what we have constructed already the top sheet goes all the way to the edges of the box. how are we suppose to attach the PVC so it is flush with the top sheet?

maybe add another 2x4 on the outside to make it wider so we can add the PVC along the sides? then use some caulk to bond the top to the PVC and then it will be flush. so you will slide both the PVC and the top sheet at once.

that's one sweet box

your father is a sick fuck for taking pictures of his daughter in a bikini and your grandma is a slut for being so close to breast like that. i bet shes thinking ' mmmm my granddaugther sure does have nice breasts, so firm and perky but too bad they dont beat mine cuz mine hang down to my knees and when im standing naked it looks like i have 2 sets of arms' - Lateralis

ok well Kingshit just gave the brilliant idea of using thin metal sheeting instead of the PVC.

it will be the "L" shaped corner sheeting that is used on your house walls at every corner for reenforcement. it will help hold the top sheet down making sure we dont catch and edge and rip it up. plus it will look better when finished

Actually they are Dynastars, and if we put the corner edges over the topsheet do you think we can still slide around like 360 on the box or that little part sticking up will catch an edge

'Tanners going to win for sure, hes wearing bib number 420!'

i think its a gulf too cause of the shape of the lights and the undergrill that a lot ofthe vw's have but hey i couldbe wrong... btw nice box i am thinking of building one myself

who dey?

^ Look how the head lights are shaped and the front bumper looks......CAMRY!

'Tanners going to win for sure, hes wearing bib number 420!'

the how can we spin around on the box? wont we catch our edges once we have our skis parallel with the box and try to spin back to perpendicular?

we will file it down so it will be soo thin it wont matter, but keeping the corner thick and strong. i think that is the best way to solve that problem. but yea it probably would catch if we just left it 1/16 inch thick on the inside where our skis would be.
