New boots

i definitely need new boots for this coming season,

i want a really freestyle specific boot thats soft and high up on my leg so i dont get shin bang like years past. i would like a really comfortable and soft boot

any suggestions on what to get?

 
The foil is soft and so are the full tilts. If you are considering the foil you should get some booster straps since they dont come with them.

some stores carry freestyle boots but all the employees have no idea about

Definitely do your research. If you just get some popular boot that has cool technology and features but doesn't really fit your foot you're gonna hate the boots anyways.
Look at the thread "boot fitting 101" I think it's called. Searchbar it.
Once you've got an idea of the shape of your foot you should searchbar all the boots and see what type of foot they are designed for. Or just put your specs in a thread and someone will probably tell you what boot should basically fit.

I've been stuck in shitty boots that didn't fit me all season, and lost 2 toenails, sprained pretty much every one of my toes, and quite a few other little problems on my feet because of that.

im pretty comfortable on all the stuff, i just need advice on what boots people have liked, if they have used them or they're freind has used them or if they heard they're nice from a random person,

What's your specific foot?

This is what you don't seem to get man an SPK and a Dallbello Ill moro are not going to fit you the same, go to a shoe shop of you can't get to a bootfitter, get them to give yu a breakdown of your foot, like high instep, narrow last, large heel cup and a chunky calf or whatever you have... A running shop will help yu the best other than a ski shop.

Quit being a fool man, as far as i remember you can ski in vermont so you must be able to get fitted. Even if it's not for a 'freestyle boot' if you get fitted in a nordica beast for example people will be able to give you a better answer.

 
How far south are you? If you come up to killington, you can find basically every brand, and most models at the shops. Most of them are closed though, but if you wait until they are open, you should find a boot you are looking for.

i just wanna know if (example- joe liked the 07-08 SPK or he really hated the dalbello rampage

ill take iinto account my feet are different then everyone elses, i just wanna know if like 10 people really liked one boot or didnt

and "freestyle boots" bambam is because ive always used race specific boots in i would like to have a freestyle specific boot

 
What makes people like a boot is how well they fit. YOU need to understand that. The fit and the flex, that's the only thing that's important. And forget about what the boot is marketed for. If you happen to get fitted and a "woman's" boot is what you end up in, roll with it.

I don't think you do. People will say a boot is good if it fits or say it's shit if it doesn't.

I have the Dalbello Krypton Rampage. very comfortable, didn't get any serious shin bang this year, nice flex, pretty warm, well made boot.
 
best bet, find a boot that fits, and find out what its freestyle counterpart is.

aka nordica best... is the same as the spark and ignition boots, they just have freestyle specific features.

salomon foil is an impact. spk is an anomaly onto itself.

tecnicas agent line of boots has no freestyle specific features, just a common colorway.

atomics high rolla corresponds with a different boot in their line based on the flex index.

im too tired to think of what else there is, but theres a few. personally im gonna ride fulltilts this year. clean foward flex, intuition style liners, and shock absorption. i have a narrowish foot, and can fit into a 98mm lasted boot. from there i know i can punch, grind or pad to get it right. the boots i rode last year had 20 hours worth of labor put in, but they were too wide in the toebox from the start.

i think tecnica has one of the most comfortable boots out there. They specialize in boots and thats all they make so i think that gives them an advantage. I have the tecnica agents and love them to death. They are sooooo comfortable and they come in a ton of different flexes so if you like a stiffer boot then they have like 120's and if you like a flexier boot there are the tecnica 60's or 80's which i have. They have a great flex and are super comfortable and stable and you have tons of control
 
I have SPK Pro's and they're so good. I'm probably going to get a custom footbed as well for next season. I agree with everyone though, a boot fitter is probably the best option. Get it fitted then you can always buy from the internet after if a cheaper price is what your after.
 
hey man, if you're looking for some park specific boots, I'd check out the full tilt hotdoggers. I talked to a lot of people in whistler about them and they all had only positive stuff to say about full tilts. Hope that helps.
 
thanks, but thats about the only one i have heard about, and the bumblebee

have you heard anything else about the others? because i know there are a few more that i really havnt heard about, and do you know how much they will be? i guess they arent for sale untill august 15th
