New boots, ideas?

Please read this post before telling me to go to a boot fitter.

Two years ago I bought some Full Tilt Konflicts and they fit me amazingly that year. Then in last season they started to get a bit tight and even hurt my feet on some days, but I still managed. This year I couldn't wear them for more than 30 minutes at a a time, so I got them stretched. That didn't help much so I think I need new boots.

I don't want to try on every boot ever made, so I'm trying to narrow down my choices before going to the shops. Here's what I want: at least 100 mm last, shock absorbing footbed, stiff-ish flex (I use the #8 tongue on my FTs and the flex is perfect) and preferably, but not necessarily, a 3-piece construction.

Suggestions on boots that I should try on? The final choice will of course be based on fit, but I would like the boot to have the aforementioned qualities.

Booters, classic, the purple/clear/yellow ones? Salomons SPK's, Dalbello anything. And just try to get them fitted dude. At the very least just take them in and talk to a boot specialist. No need to waste more money than necessary.

in all honesty, GO TO A BOOTFITTER!! no one here knows the shape of your feet, the range of motion in your ankle, protrusions, etc... so getting a boot recommendation off an internet forum is going to be useless.

you say your konflicts are getting tight...that could be a million different issues steming from changes in your feet, what you're wearing, lack of support, etc...

the only person that's going to be able to help you is bootfitter so again i will reitterate GO TO A BOOTFITTER!!!

ok i know the golden rule of boots is see a bootiftter but what if i have had raichles, loved them and also worn friends t walls and tried drop kicks, also really liked how they fit and i cant make it through a day of skiing pain free in a traditional liner boot. so basically i know im getting full tilts or maybeeeee dalbellos i forget what model has the wrap liner but a few do so pretty much i need a boot with a liner like ft's. should i still see a bootfitter for sizing help and such cause i dont want to really get fitted and be in nordicas or spks or something and spend another season with serious pain in my shins from a traditional tongue liner. thanks

Now I'm not gonna say that there aren't any bootfitters in my country, but if there are then I have no idea where to find one. So that is pretty much out of the question.

if you are in the Helsinki area, there are some great shops. I apologize because I forgot their names, but there are at least 2 great shops there which have extensive boot-fitting knowledge and the tools to get it done right.

Thanks a lot. I'm not in Helsinki but it's a reasonable distance. I'll ask some locals and they can probably tell me where to go.

wrote it really quick on my phone don't know why it came out so bad but whateva man and does a intuition liner fit into any boot? Cause the reason I need new boots is my raichle shell broke and I had a old pair of nordicas so I tried to put the thermoflex liners from the raichles in the nordicas but it didn't fit at all. can a bootfitter do something to a intuition liner so that it would fit into my double sixes? Cause they're in pretty perfect shape I just can't stand the liners in them.

How to install Intuition liner: pull out old liner, put in Intuition liner. Don't need a bootfitter for that.

I thought that's how it would have worked also but as I said I did that with a raichle liner and it did not fit and I tried skiing in them and had to walk down the trail i couldn't even make a turn in them. So I don't want to drop $180 on a intuition liner and have the same thing happen

Regarding intutions, they are not going to sort out all problems. They may have felt good in some boots you tried, but that does not mean they will feel good in all boots or even be the best choice for you. Unfortunatly you need to find a good boot fitter who can get you in the right size and shape of boot.

Regarding the OP, you need to get fitted, wait untill you go to france and then get some boots that really work for you. And dont worry you wont have to try on every boot, no good bootfitter would let you do that. They will let you try 3 boots max.
