I have a pretty good feeling the answer will be negative but ill ask just to be safe.

The BSL (boot sole length) on my old boots, the ones my bindings were mounted with, are 293mm.

The BSL on my new ones are 297mm, i dont have to remount do i?

what bindings are they, and if they have a track (i.e. not FKS) around where on the track is the heelpiece?

So only the heel piece moves? cause I'll soon be in the same situation and I have a center mount on a symmetrical ski so...

even if you have a fks you MIGHT not have to remount had a 308 and went down to a 304 or something. if you have a griffion or a px 12 it should be fine

yeah, only the heelpiece moves and for the most part it'll stay centered (remember, you're talking about millimeters here).

you might be able to get 4mm out of them depending on the current forward pressure setting. To set it, turn the arms of the heelpiece (the things that hold the release to the turntable), you'll probably need some pliers or something to do this. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I believe turning left makes them go out, it's hard to judge, so you'll have to keep trying to pop the boots in place every now and then until the fit properly.
