New boots affect mount point?

I am getting new boots that are 25.5 my skis were mounted w 26.5. my only concern is that going down a size will push my mount point up and im wondering is this is true/ how to prevent it

The adjustability is all in the heel, the toe stays put so that moves your mount point forward. What is the BSL on both boots? What bindings?

If its a big difference in bsl then it might make a bit of a difference. Where are your skis mounted at right now? If they’re true center it could be noticeable for sure. If theyre a couple cm back then it shouldn’t be an issue

I am looking but can’t find the bsl. The boots I’m getting are nordica speed machines in 25.5 i can’t find thr bsl anywhere. The boots I have currently are 305 bsl

I have pivots

The mount point will only likely move 5mm or so...even if center mounted it would be hardly noticeable.

Yea I’m not I think it’s worth it for proper fitting boots tbh. I think it’ll loosen foward pressure a little but I’m not too worried

If you’re able to adjust your bindings enough for your new boots, you should be able to set the forward pressure all the same. If you take it to a shop your DIN may change depending on how much the BSL drops but if your bindings aren’t pivots they should make up the difference in boot size just fine.

Inside of heel is usually where it is. Nordica and tecnica are same owner and I know tecnica uses that so look there

I went from 28.5 to 27.5 going from Rossignol to Full Tilt. The boot's outer sole length changed from 320mm to 310mm.

Moving the heel 10mm forward shifted the mount point 5mm forward. It was never noticeable.
