New Books or New Boards?

So here is the deal, I have to decide if i really need to buy text books for my classes cause if i do i probably can't afford the new EP pros. My classes are really chill, just first year generals. Have any of you taken classes and not bought the books and done ok? I think i could probably get away with it.
 
i never buy my books before classes start. go to your classes and see if you will need them. most teachers will even tell you if you dont. ive only really needed books for my english classes, for the other ones i use the interweb and borrow my friends books if i need to.
 
Borrow from friends, find the book in the library, split the cost with a friend, half.com, find people who took the class prior,

go buy skis,
 
bought all my books last yea bearly used half of them wait till you really need the book than get it check out half.com best deals on books out there man and just mooch off other people best way to go
