If it weren't for his sponsors, he'd be long forgotten. There's literally dozens of kids with zero exposure with a bigger bag of tricks and style for days.
Sorry for the rant, but that no talent ass clown who thinks he's a rockstar is a douche.
Background is tight though.
 
Peter Olenick hasn't won a comp in years. I don't even know how to spell his name. Is Olenick right? haha whatever sick pic.. don't care for the skier though.
 
Pete's been training his ass off since he got to Whistler and has been throwing new doubles that no one's ever done before and the whole glacier is talking about. Watch out!

He is, and you'll see a very similar shot of him slaying the same jump

in the next summer camp update. We chose Pete because it's a better

shot (Paul was wearing grey and black so it didn't come out as well),

and he's been slaying it up here (read my above post).

and ps: he stopped drinking.

 
It's a nice shot...let that be the sole justification, because the fact that Pete's learning new doubles just belies the fact that he's clinging to whatever gimmicky nonsense he can to preserve what little relevancy he has.
I don't care what doubles he's doing, because at the end of the day, his tricks look like ass. He's got on axis natural spins with a gross toxic circa '03, a misty 5/over flip with a straight leg truck, a coughcough "flat 3" (slightly off axis backflip) a hucked dub lincoln in the pipe that he can't seem to land anymore, and a few new dubs.... For the life of me, I have no clue why this guy is still landing video parts, and getting invited to major contests. All I can figure is the American bias....and I'm American. How many kids out of Quebec alone would body Pete anywhere but the pipe?
Seriously, what's he planning to do... win Big Air at WInter X via text vote with his new super duper dub flip?
I don't know why he bothers me so much....his completely unwarranted fame based ostensibly on his skiing talent, or his lame party guy persona that he tries way too hard to cultivate. Meh, maybe I'm a hater, but I don't give a fuck.
 
he has seemed a bit out of his league the past two years in contests. I don't think I can remember seeing him land his double in the pipe and has he even been there for slope style? Though if what schmuck says is true then that's sick and good for him. But, regardless of what you think of peter this shot is siiiick.

also, no fucking way he quit drinking although that might explain his jump in performance (extra points for use of good pun?)...
 
I would almost prefer the shot of TJ Schiller with the almost identical background that was in Schmuck's article... I know the shot of the skier isn't as good but perhaps it's just because for at least the next half hour I'm feeling more Canadian than usual and I'd love to see some good homeboy representing.

whats with all the hate? i know this is NS but come on people

peter is straight killin it out there. he knows whats up, if it was wallish out there throwing new doubles that have never been done before everyone would be freaking out. yeah peter maybe didnt make the best decisions but at least he is still throwing down.

regardless of who is in the picture it is sick. nice choice schmuck
