New ar5 for soo cheap!

i found a pair for 375$ brand new, from a dealer, before i get um, i dont want to hear somthing right after i get them like, "o and by the way, they delam really easy" so tell me everything bad about them if u guys could, thanks.

there is no way they are this year's ski for that cheap. ARMADA will be pissed if they find out there selling them for that cheap even before the snow. they have to be last years.

but companys liek that dont like it because it gives them a cheap bad image, Taylor help me out on this. he will explain it.

^not only that, it would probably be loosing them money on the skis, or making so little it would be pointless to sell them.

what CalXskier is trying to explain is bottom line pricing for a particular time period. That is to say, when a compnay like Armada, or Oakley, or whoever sells wholesale to a store the store signs an agreement saying they will sell the product at whatever price the wholesale company desires for a period of time (for example, until Christmas)

yea, but after that time it can go for whatever, i dunno about before the time starts though? maybe if he works there then that would make sense

uh the time starts when you sign the order.. whatev i got my ARMADA fix for the next couple of months i dont give a shit.

yea man they couldnt leagally sell this years for that cheap. the only way would be ebay but people would bid so much it would cost the same anyways. maybe the guy ur gettin em from is doin some snakey buisness like buyin a whole bunch then only sayin he has so many out and sellin em for cheaper........ which would make no sense because hes only loosin money and not gaining anything from it. id be skeptical prob last years

$280 for last years AR%'s at this local shop. The last time I was there they had 170, 180, and 160 I think.

They can't actually do that, it's called price fixing and it's illegal. The only thing that Armada could (and most likey does) do is specify M.A.P. (Minimum Advertised Pricing) which means a store can sell for whatever they want (which is their legal right to do) but they can't advertise it below MAP. This creates the appearace that all shops have them for the same price, especially if you look online, but if you actually went to the shop, they could have them marked for $100 if they wanted.

yeah, so that was i guess a false alarm, i called ski snowboard and patio, they told me they had all the new 05/ 06 armada skis, for 375, i hung up and called again cuz i thought it was to good to be true, i got another woman, and i got the same price, i went down there today, and they told me that they were wrong, and the skis were like 580! sorry guys.
