New album is rad. "God of the cold white silence" is probably my fav on there so far. Anyone else into them?
 
fuck yes! I had an awesome co-worker who played Dungeons and Dragons with one of the guys (they're based in Vancouver), and another co-worker whose band opened for them a few times.
 
All of their songs are so rad. I just love the whole fantasy stuff, killing Orcs, Axes of Evil. Forests coming to life. So sick!!

Metal is the nerdiest genre for some reason.
 
So true haha. I don't even fully understand why. I have read theories of it but I don't know. I'm nerdy and a fuckin love metal!
 
Haha, I was thinking of that last night as I was listening to songs about viking battles and norse mythology.....while building a model.

Yeah well here this:

Over the summer I was listening to Amon Amarth and this whole epic story flashed through my head. It was so incredible I wrote down an outline to it. I tried to take time to write a novel out of it but I haven't had time. I still have the outline though. It is 100% original, has a message, symbolism, many forms of conflict...everything man! Inspired by Cry Of The Blackbirds. So hard to think of midieval names...
