I'm living in england now and the dorm thing i live in has super nazi internet. Some ninja program called OpenDNS blocks all of this shit and it's so up to date that no proxy sites are accessible. I tried running an on computer proxy through parallels desktop but that didn't work either.

I know it's possible to change my DNS settings so that I can get around it but I have no idea how to do that.

I can't even watch movies or download songs from anywhere and not to mention of course all the porn is blocked
 
Just Torrent HideMyAss. It's a VPN, not a proxxy, so you're proxxy-blocker shit won't detect it. And either way, VPN>Proxxy

but yeah the rest of your comment is mostly spot-on.

and all proxy sites are blocked? so you previously set up a proxy on your computer and now it doesn't work? I work in IT so might be able to help
 
your proxxy host might also be in the US, which might be blocked. Try findind a proxxy host near where you are.

Or try this (found it online)

1.Click the start tab.

2.Go to “Control Panel”

3.Go to Network Connections”

4.Right click on the connection your computer is using and click “Properties” in the drop down menu.

5.In that box that comes up click “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

6.Click “Properties” in the middle right side of the box.

7.Set your computer to “Use the following DNS servers”

8.Again you can Google “DNS servers” for a list of them. It might take a few tries to get one that works but it it worth it to get past OpenDNS.

9.On the list of servers every one should have a number which should look like 107.0.12.102

10.Enter this number in the box which came up earlier, then click Okay

11.Restart firefox or whatever you are using and you are done!

to the first guy, torrenting is blocked

i tried changing the DNS but there are firewall DNS codes located in the router so they show up in grey on my DNS settings so therefore when i add the google codes of 8.8.8.8 etc. they act as secondaries since the router is already assigned 2 of the openDNS codes which are the blocked ones

i think the only way to do this is to somehow log into the admin of the router and change the dns settings which i can't do since i don't have a password and the admin password has been changed
 
My school is the same.. I have to suggestions. 1. Find the ip address of the sight your trying to go to and just paste that in the url bar. If that doesnt work you can go to bablefish(?) i think and translate the website to german or another language. those usually work for me. And sorry for my spelling, im on my phone
 
Guy with IP advice is sorta right, ping the site you want to go to and you can get the IP.

On a related note, you can try a DNS config through command prompt, try googling it, i'm not a network expert (i'm programming)
 
i tried that, the ip just changes the web page back to the url before it loads and then the block picks up on that. since it's a DNS block it doesn't monitor my ip but instead it monitors all incoming traffic on the router, hence why it can block torrents and other downloads as well as all sites
 
OKay this may be confusing for you.. But i'll try and explain as easily as possible..

Get 3 (three) apples, put a dime and a penny in each, then you want to get a long copper string and make it go thru all of the apples (source of electricity) Then put the end of copper wire in the headphone hole in the computer, this should make the proxy go away 100% and you can watch pr0nz and some cool double pits to chesty commercials if u want.

when you say "in the apple," what exactly do you mean? because there're a lot of ways to put something "in" another thing, like for instance my penis was fully "inside" your mom's asshole last night but it was also between her tits which could be classified as "in" as well as later when the large bulbous head was "in" her mouth but most of the penis wasn't since i was pulling out to nut all over her face and your family portraits. so what are we talking about here?

i think the more important question here is why universities in england block porn, assuming that you do go to a university, but you should just buy a bunch of porno DVDs and blast them at all times in your room as protest

not the school itself but the house we live in is blocked. it really doesn't make sense since you have to be 18 or older to live in the house which is the age of consent for watching and buying porn. silly stuck up brits
 
just get your own internets, it wont cost too much per month, or you could always try and call up the internet host and see whats up with all the blocks and shit
 
this dns block slows down the internet so much. it just took me 7 minutes to load google. shit's worse than fucking dial up. now i can't skype my girlfriend. they take away my girlfriend, they take away my porn, but they can NEVER TAKE MY HORNINESS
 
If all fails mabye get a smartphone? I dont know anything about the 3g up in England and its an investment but lisa ann's tits are worth it and hopefully your girlfriends are as well. You also risk having shitty connection in your dorm. You probably would have considered this already and I just sound like a dumbass.
