Need Urban Help

So the forcast is predicting some snow in the near future and it's a pain in the ass to hook a rope up to my car for urban hits. Does anyone know how I can make a decent bungee or even buy one for a reasonable price? I'm looking to get one within a week or two.

I would.. but i hear banshee's are damn expensive and I'm a poor college student.

buy 60 ft of surgical tubing at a hardware store, cut it into 3 20ft pieces, braid them, and make some kind of a handle.

Definitely thought about a drop in but I live in the dorms here and drive a honda so it would be pretty hard to store it but I'm really considering it for next year when I have a house
