Need to buy new gloves - help?

Searchbarred and couldn't find much on gloves specifically (and certainly nothing recent), so I figured I'd make a new thread.

Anyways, I finally had to give up my worn, taped up pair of Reusch gloves. Loved 'em, they were super warm, but it was time...and shit were they old. I'm pretty out of touch with gloves these days. I'm looking for a warm replacement glove and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I'm not much of a mitten person but I'm open to anything.

Thanks all, appreciate it.

since your last pair of gloves was high quality, im guessing you are more worried about performance than cost.

Check out Hestra and Black Diamond and see what you like. Reusch still makes some rad gloves if you want to stick to those

Just to clarify, I know about the brands that make gloves, glove tech specs, and how to judge overall quality. I was wondering whether anyone had any personal experience with certain brands that could help me gauge and direct my interest. To the dude who posted the link to backcountry...c'mon man, I'm not an idiot.

I know Hestra and Reusch make nice stuff, but it's pretty expensive. The Free the Powder gloves seem dope, especially at that price point, but this is going to be their first production season and there is so little information out there about them.

Any personal recommendations?

Last 7 years of my life I have gone with a leather mitt from "klondie-sterling" leather shop of Canada and a light weight fox river wool to make the ultimate "chopper". KS leather is sold in very few shops in the America.

For seven years I can count on one hand how many times my hands got cold. Coldest I ever had them in was -40 on winter camping trip, still stayed warm.

This year I'm trying out Outdoor research to see how they go.
