Need someone to ski with in Boise

Just moved to Boise for school and love to ski park

But don't know anyone here I'm looking for someone to ski with on weekends let me know

anyway, there's always hella kids lapping the park at bogus especially on weekends. once the season starts you'll get to know people, just be friendly :)
 
Just ski around and talk to people. Mostly all the park rats are nice and open for new people to ski with them. I know at least 20-30 legit kids that ski Bogey Peaks and the majority of them shred park.

That is if Bogus even fucking opens, or they put up a park before mid February

and don't forget to get your park pass (lol), and remember kids, no inverts at Bogus Basin Mountain Resort...

 
Also it seems to me after this year most of the kids I know that ski Bogey are leaving Boise for school. So many are going to U of U, or like you, just down to utah to gain residency. After this year I'm going to be surprised who is left
 
now i feel like one of those oldfags that skied bogus but moved on that are like OH I REMEMBER WHEN BOGUS WAS GOOD AT SNOW STAIRS AND EVERYBODY RAN IN CREWS AND THERE WERE TONS OF SKIERS.

I swear when most of you all I know leave, its going to get real snowboard dominated real quickly, at least in the "Park" that is.

Ok so I've met some people skiing couple that are hella chill but does any one ski a full day around here I mean I don't have a season pass so I wanna shred hard man hit me up I wanna ski to day

i feel like a lot of the younger ones are with my experience, especially the ones whos parents are the financial and motivational cause of their childs skiing,and

like aaron said earlier in the 'newschoolers phase' trying to be cooler

than everyone else rather than trying to be cool with everyone else

but really bogus is full of its "crews" they ski in their little groups and occasionally they will branch out. depending on who you are you might fit in with a few of them, and a few others you might not click with as well. Not trying to sound all high and mighty, but I know quite a few of the crews at bogus, I never really stayed with one so i met quite a few of them, and henry is right about how different they are.

henry you might not like the "richer newschooler phase younger kids" because you are pretty much the opposite, not saying that's a bad things, just stating the obvious.

OP just ski around on like a saturday, talk to different crews and see who you get along best with, then ski with them, if you don't like them find someone else. there usually is so many people at Bogey its not hard to stumbling on someone else you want to ski with.
 
yeah i agree i guess, and i don't know all the groups of skiers in idaho, but at least at bogus, most of them are nice. the 'newschooler phase' ones dont really count. i'm talkin like 15 and above
 
ya most of them are actually really nice, a few 'assholes' can bring down the vibe of the whole situation, and taking age into account is a must, theres still (and will alwaysa be) a lot of aspiring kids run by their egos

Andrew...I got nothing against the 'rich newschoolers kids' for being who they are, i mean pretty much all of my friends growing up were and still are (a few) those people, But like i said above, one person with the wrong attitude can impose a wide spread attitudinal assumption for all the spoiled twats..

I havent had any problems really ever with anyone at bogus though other than the mountain hosts/patrol who seem to think skiing fast is a felony and backflips are treason

last month i got lectured by a host for 20 minutes about how i was skiing too fast and passing people at too high a speed. i was on the cat track to pine creek from deer point.

funny story.....good friend of mine is this manager 'Dons' niece. She has pictures of them at a fam reunion hugging/being family and her mom also backed this truth. Im told if i ask 'Don' if he knows or is related to either the girl or her mom he will deny it.

So..I go to bogus, I see this guy 'Don' he even has a nametag that says 'don' I ask "do you know T*^!*&*?" he obviously does by the awkward silence and change in expression, a few long seconds later he responds "nope, cant say ive ever heard of her, sorry"

hahahahahaha only bogus
 
haha that funny. they're all gapers. called one of my friends a "lowriding, inconsiderate, hooligan" and told em to get off his mountain
