So im going to utah next years in january 2010. And Im looking for powder ski, i will bring my dumont for park and groomers. But i want to keep them and use them here in Quebec but we don't have as much pow. Im 5'9 and 145 lbs and i never ride in deep pow and never try rocker ski, so i want a ski easy to ski . I was looking in 2010 ski like the new hellbent , obsethed and the kung fujas whit the new rocker because we can mount them whit the new marker fix Schizo. But i got some deals whit salomon and atomic so i was looking in the czar and shogun too. I dont' have range price. I have to choose 5 mountain to go in utah i was thinking about alta, snowbasin, brighton, park city and snowbird is this a good chose. I want to ski powder and trees. And im gonna stay at salt lake city . thx +karma for help

Thats pretty sick that you can afford to buy skis just because your going to Utah

Obsethed or hellbents are supposed to be sick in powder, and fun even on the east coast stuff we get

The Hellbents would be a sick ski for any of the big Utah areas. I just saw some of this year's model 169's for $419.97 at www.coloradofreeskier.com They measure to more of a 174cm and with the rocker you will be able to rip tight lines in the trees. Perfect ski for playful utah lines.

If you can get a good deal on atomic have you should have a look at the bent chetler. i have been using it for the last month in japan, and it kills in deep powder and is really playful and fun between the trees.

they measure really long! the 179's are what I use and I'm 6 ft tall. The 169's would provide plenty of surface area....mount them +5 (it's definitely the sweet spot for this ski)

if your on 176's right now, i would definitely go to the 179's... most people would ride their BC skis longer

also +5 from true center or from the suggested mount? cuz dont mount them +5 from true center

+ 5 would be 2cm back from true center...they may ski too short at true center, and at recomended people have been noticing a bad "wheelie effect"
