Can you guys give me some feedback on my edits? Just want to know what you think about it for the effects/skiing/vibe

that was absolutely insane. i don’t want to think about how many hours went into that. so fucking sick. some of these crews should take notes

honestly it was so sick!

overwrought and arbitrary editing can be very annoying to watch. that type of stuff reminds me of when a musician has some long scene at the end of a song. they probably thought it was super cool when making it but no one wants to listen to 90 seconds of bullshit every time they hear that track

by contrast, your editing was very unique and didn't waste any time to justify itself. concise, novel and intriguing. very stoked on it!

Great editing and music taste. When Im a little bit better and have the opportunity to ski street i would also like to make a yt edit. Do you know how it is with the copyright for music on yt?

Sick video, I like it.

But just remember 99% of the greatest action sport edits of all time don’t have over the top editing. The secret is to make the editing compliment the skiing, rather than having it take over, which often causes a video to be a bit of a clusterfuck. You are insanely good at editing, but one thing I notice with some of the more skilled editors nowadays is that they try to take too much creative control and it ends up not feeling like a ski edit, theyre more like music videos with skiing, which in those cases, the videos don’t do well at all relative to the quality of skiing because people don’t want to see that kind of stuff. Good example of this is some of CRay’s more recent edits

I don’t really think you overdid it too much tho, but with that much editing skill theres usually a lot of pressure to overdo it. Like I said the secret is to compliment the skiing, use editing to time clips to the music better, or to transition between clips better, not just random arbitrary edits to show people how good you are as an editor. A ski edit is about the skiing.

Actually CRays music video edits do pretty well nevermind I guess I just don’t really like them. Honestly don’t even listen to me do whatever the fuck you want somebody will fw it lol

Loved it dude, very impressed with the editing. Had a very unique feel and fun visual vibe. As others stated, it feels more like an editing reel than a ski edit if you get what im saying. Too much emphasis on the transitions and visuals instead of the skiing. Not a bad thing at all, just wouldn't get my word as a "ski edit". Subscribed to your channel, im excited to see more!

Now you can use pretty much any music you like, they just don't allow you to monetize your videos if you use a copyrighted track.

Holy shit you can edit, I would've preferred if there were parts where the effects were less crazy, it makes it easier on the eyes. Throwing wild effects on stuff on the song hook makes it good though.

you have a legit future as a professional editor if you want it.

Super sick. My only complaint, and this is completely personal, is that I hate the fast-forward in vids. But still incredibly sick.
