Need New Skis

Ya ik it's sometimes annoying when someone makes an entire thread dedicated to buying new skis but please bear with me.

Let me make this simple.

What I'm looking for in a ski:

- Soft/buttery not quite as soft as blends tho

- Durable top sheet

- Budget $600ish (not including bindings)

- Good chance of actually being in stock somewhere

- Doesn't have to be 2021, just a good ski

Appreciate any help I can get, thanks

I'd honestly doubt that

I know the normal wet is super crazy soft, but the wet plus is the stiffest one they sell, so it just kinda depends on what ones youre looking at. cant go wrong with those graphics tho lol

Never skied either vishnu or blends but I would have thought vishnu was softer then blends?

They are but aren’t. I sound like a dumbass but let me explain. The tails of blends are noticeably stiffer than the tails of wets. Wides and Blends are about even in the tails. But the noses on blends are stupid soft near the tips. The flex pattern is very even And symmetrical on Vishnus, but on blends (and most other skis) you start to see a flex pattern that changes dramatically the closer you get to the tip or tail.

The fact that Vishnus have that even flex pattern can allows them to honestly feel a little stiffer in nosepresses and nosebutters than in some other skis.

that could be all BS tho, cause I’ve tried Blends, Edollos, Nomads, and such. They were all shorter sizes though, I ride 183 V’s and those were all ~170 sized planks I tried. Easy to get your weight on the tips on a shorter ski obviously, but that’s just my experience.
