Hello, I'm from Belgium and new on the forum.

I'm 1m 79 and weight: 72 kg

My previous ski was a Lord, but this didn't work well in the park. I want a one-quiver ski for the whole mountain. I only go 2 or 3 weeks a year, and the chance on powder isn't that big. So I think + 95 is useless for me. Most of the time I ski on the piste(don't know how you call this), when there is pow, i will certainly try to score it. Since this year I also more and more in the park ( Nothing special yet, just learned the 360 on bigair and doing my first rails)

First i thought about these ski's

Armada ARV, Rossignol S3, Völkl Brigde. But i think the S3 is to wide for me. I Still ride most of the time on the piste.

What can you tell me about these ski's for the piste, park, powder?

Do you guys have other ski's you recommand me?

Regards

Dennis

i think you have a some pretty solid choices, you might also look into the K2 Kung Fujas. i dont think you will be disappointed with any ski you choose.

But make a choice out of three isn't easy.

What about the binding, i was thinking about the griffon. But what about the Griffon schizo, it would be nice, for the chance between park and piste/powder. But is it worth the extra money and weight? Does it really help?

I would like the bridge because he only got 92 under foot, but this is the most expensive in of the ski's. For me it cost 509 euro, that is 744 dollar (with the schizo)

The ARV i can buy from last year, with schizo 439 euro of 642 dollar

The S3 with schizo 399 euro or 583 dollar

i havnt heard much on the schizo system since its still very new, but i know that you can buy skis from the K2 line with schizo insert holes...
ski wise the arv and bridge are 92 underfoot and the s3 is 98 i think and the kung fujas are 95 under foot. in reality 6mm is not that big of difference so dont worry about them being too fat and not preforming in the park they will all do exactly what you are looking for so its more of a matter what you decide on.

Oké, i think i will go for the arv, unless there are some more ski's that you think, that will fit to my one-ski-quiver.

Someone allready skied on the arv? Think i will go for the schizo, it's only 20 dollars more, and i hope it's worth it.

Made my decision, i will buy the Wall in 177. I'm not riding that much pow, so i think 95 under foot is useless.

I allready read a lot of things about the mounting point of the bindings. Because it's symetrical it has to stand in the middel. But when I take the griffon schizo, place it -3 from the core. So then i can put them in the core all the time, but when there's a pow day i can put them in -6 of the core.Or is this stupid?

Dennis

It's not a stupid idea, but just be aware that 95mm underfoot is not all that wide. For instance, the Line Elizabeths are park skis and are 110mm underfoot. Also the schizos are pretty damn expensive. Just sayin'.

Hello

Damm, i'm not sure anymore. The schizo are just a little more. I order my skies from a shop in germany, they have verry good prices. So the arv would also be perfect as an allmountain/park ski?

yeah man the arv is a solid all mountain/park ski. Heres the description from the armada website that confirms this:

When the ARV was born seven years ago, skiers demanding park-style performance all over the mountain were cutting edge innovators. Today, it's not just the Armada team members who require pop off terrain features and stability at speeds wrapped in a wide enough package for flotation in any snow condition—it's every high caliber, all-mountain skier. Like the AR6, this is an Armada legacy product and it remains virtually unchanged from last year because we haven't found a way to improve upon it. The ARV remains the benchmark in traditional all-mountain versatility.

If you dont end up getting those look into the line chronic which is another solid all mountain ski. Good luck with your decision!

i actually would have chosen the s3. it's 90 underfoot, not 98, plus it is rockered. the montage crew guys use it in park with no problems... but you will still love the wall

S3's are 96 at the waist. I have a pair. It's printed on the ski. Honestly, they slay hard snow, and the little bit of rocker they have makes skiing chopped up snow a dream. I haven't used them in the park yet.

In what length do you got them. Does slay mean, good on hard snow or ? Anyone expierence with the S3 in the park?

I will certainlly get some arv's from last season. I thought they where 95 under foot. This is the 185. The 175 is just 92 under foot and i think the print is a lot cooler. I will go with the griffon schizo on it.

thanks for all the info guys

The ARV is awesome. You will love it. Not that the Walls aren't awesome. I loved those skis in the park too, but ARV is better all around

Aight going for the arv, certainly. When you put the bindings ad the recommanded mount, is it still good for freestyle and freeride. Otherwise i take the normal griffon because this is less weight.

If this stand to far back from the true center, i take the schizo.
