Need Mac Help ASAP

My computer keeps shutting down automatically. This black square pops up and tells me that I need to shut off my computer and hold down the power button etc... Its a macbook that's almost 4 years old but I still need it for school and stuff. Has anyone else ever had this problem or found a solution? My harddrive has also been making some really weird noises recently so this might be contributing to the problem.

My best advice is, time to get a new one. If your laptop is older than like 3 years old, it starts to have problems!

My Windows laptop (an LG) is 4.5 years old and runs perfectly. I've never had an issue with it, so I don't think I can agree with that statement

lol we'v had the same mac for like 6 years or so, probably longer

The best option is to go to the apple store closest to you and have them check it out for you.
