update. my back is still fucked. Ive tried physio, Chiro, drugs, stretching and more pharmaceutical drugs. Nothings working worth a shit, still havnt stood up straight since may and walk around like I have a stick up my ass. Need some ideas to help fix it or at least get it better. Bit of background info. Did too many huck to flats and pretty much compressed 2 disks in my lower back. L5 and L4 if I remember correctly. My Chiro dude said to check CBD out but im a little weary of it(never been a smoker or drinker). And other ideas or remedies?

cbd is definitely worth checking out, it won't get you high whatsoever, it is not psychoactive like thc is. Cbd is also a wonderful anti inflammitory. I think it's much healthier long term than advil or other traditional anti inflammatories. Totally legal to buy online as well. Been buying it from these guys for nearly a year now:https://www.lazarusnaturals.com/

I feel you! I just got MRI done and going to see the doc about what’s going on today. I can bearly walk on my right leg the pain is so bad. I’m taking two Motrin’s and two Tylenol every 6 hours. If I don’t take them i can bearly walk/ do anything the pain is so bad.

I’ve heard inversion tables are really good, cupping, and if all else fails CBD for pain relief.

Maybe check out a sports physical therapist/rehab specialist? They might be able to give you some back-strengthening exercises that will help you long-term.

Inversion Therapy is the only thing that worked on my back. Also did some Traction pull that finally was able to get blood flow to the back. Just a thought..... Not a Doctor but I did stay at a holiday inn

tried traction but it only worsened my pain haha

i had the exact same thing, i did leg stretches with a band for physical therapy along with acupuncture bi weekly and a steroid injection, i still have a bit of pain if i do something real stupid but im back to normal me pretty much.

first and foremost I highly recommend getting off the drugs, second of all to help decrease pain try moist heat such as a hot bath or hot packs from moist heat, it also sounds like you need a lot of soft tissue work to help get your lumbar muscles out of spasm. Does it hurt laying on your back? stomach? either side? some things I would look into for some exercises would be some transverse abdominis activation exercises: lay on your back knees bent, while in this position try pushing your low back into the table or floor all while drawing in your belly button (inhale while doing so and exhale when you come back to start position. What you need to work on is more than likely getting out of spinal flexion and more in extension. Not sure if you have ever done yoga, but the "cat cow (only perform the cat portion" exercise is a good way to help get into more lumbar flexion. Now this is all speculation because I have not seen you walk, squat, stand. Also before you try any of these consult your doctor. Btw how old are you? Some of your responses seem like you think its not a big deal or anything. The CBD won't do a thing as far as fix your problem but it may help decrease the pain a little bit.

Im 17. As of right now I cant lay on my front or back right now because either the pain is too great or my foot falls asleep(not your usual fuzziness, way worse). the drugs that im on right now are just to help with my chronic pain. Ive been given some exercises by my Chiro doc thats strengthening my lower stomach and arms right now and we are slowly lengthening my muscles during my sessions. And what you said about me thinking its not a big deal or anything. I realize that this is a huge deal and will impact my life in the future. Its become a normal thing for me now since I injured myself coming up 9 months.

You have damaged discs in your spine that are fucking up the adjacent nerves. No amount of muscular work, chiropractics, or yoga is likely going to help.. you need that shit repaired with surgery or regenerative medicine (stem cells). Until it's fixed, I'd highly recommend using some form of THC or CBD other than opioids or NSAID for pain

This....this so much. I have two herniated and bulging disks. Going to see a specialist for treatment, and gonna get on the CBD train in the meantime.

First off, don't buy cbd online. You have no clue where it's from or what else may be mixed it. Or even if it's cbd at all. FYI CBD, is classified as schedule I, no matter how dumb or fucked that may sound. Don't listen to the moron who says it's perfectly legal to buy. It's not only federally illegal to purchase and possess, but also a federal crime to transport illegal drugs across state lines. I personally think the DEA is fucked in their scheduling of certain substances, but I figured I would add some facts to the nonsense even if I don't agree with the facts. Cheers to getting medical advice from a forum. Second, now that you've tried all various forms of alternative medicine, go see an actual physician (not a chiropractor) and see what they say. Seriously go see a physician and they can do diagnostic tests on you. Drugs (of any sort) only temporarily fix the problem, so those are your discretion.

I just realized OP lives in Canada, so nevermind on the legality stuff since that shit is fine there. But as far as the US is concerned, refer to my previous statement. And if Ohio is where you live dude, it's 100% illegal in every way unless you're in a study.... At least until September 8th, 2018.

They sell CBD products in Head shops here in PA, also WV

That's because the DEA only has the jurisdiction to prohibit cannabis derived CBD as far as I'm aware. They can't touch anything derived from hemp and less than 0.1% thc. Hundreds of companies sell it online as well.

Get a foam roller and use it on your back everyday. Do core workouts if it doesn't induce more back pain. Also try exercises that promote good posture. I also recommend stretching as much as you can along side rolling.

Truueee. Ive smoked my fair share of the herb. When I tried CBD I felt none of the psychoactive affects at all. Just a faint relaxed body high. Dont worry about it impairing your day to day life.

A little update to this post. Had surgery on the disk, and physio....and a few months after I was cleared the surgery failed and my herniation was back.

The way I fixed my self was with Dr. Stu McGill’s big three exercises, and walking incremental distances everyday. CBD did fuck all for my pain. The only thing that helped was NSAIDS twice a day and the exercises.

+vibes man. Recovering from this must suck. Just be glad that they now replace discs instead of fusing them together. Pretty big advancement over the last few decades.

I've actually got a question that I almost made a thread about. Are you talking or have been recommended any supplements for joint health/repair? I just started looking into this field and Glucosamine is what I am looking at right now

from my extremely limited knowledge, cbd is used for pain relief, and does not give you a high at all. My mother has been experiencing chronic pain-with no end in sight yet, and has been reccomended cbd as well. She has decided to give it a try soon, and while I am not familier with it, I expect it is safe as she never drinks or smokes (high school teacher). Either way, best of luck. Backs injurys suck

As an avid marijuana consumer in my past - I'm here to tell you CBD is the finest snake oil out there. It's a lie used to take your money.

Either smoke a hooter or drink liquor if you don't wanna become a pill head.

yeah my opinion on cbd has done a complete 180 in the past year. I quit weed for a while and was using cbd to sleep for months. I eventually stopped and realized it wasn't doing a god damned fucking thing for me on it's own. It's best in weed form.

Yeah, but in all honesty I really shouldn’t of taken the surgery at all. I was hoping for a quick fix when I should of just been putting in the work. Right now I feel better then I ever been just with simple exercise.

I’m doing a pro-biotic, omega 3, and glucosamine with a multivitamin and gabapentin.

But I will stress that if you have any major source of pain...pure CBD is bullshit.

I had a big ski crash in Jan 2018, caught my tips back flipping and faceplanted, Hard. Got diagnosed with severe whiplash and my neck and shoulders have never been the same since. Aches and pains all the time. Tried literally everything over the last 13 months but I'm now starting to accept my body is pretty much ruined for the rest of my life, I'm 25. Fucking depressing.

Start drinking

I took prednisone for my back for a couple weeks, not going to help you heal at all but it got me to where I could be a functional person who is capable of putting pants on and getting in and out of a car. So that was nice.

No idea.

I've had back issues for different reasons, cracked vertebrae that healed wrong didn't help. Last year running snow cats full time in the park with shit tons of back ups, my back got fucked rattling around in the machine. I would wake up and not be able to breathe, have to slowly move my way to the living room and sit up in a chair for a while until I thought maybe I could go to sleep.

Found that if I slept at an angle partially sitting up it hurt less. I didn't work the southern hem winter so being out of a cat it got better. This season I've been focused on posture and stretching a bunch. Been feeling a lot better.

Would get it checked out but the health industry can suck a giant dick.

It really depends. Are your disks bulging or completely herniated? I've herniated all the disks from my S2 to L3 vertebrae. I've been told that at some point my back will have to be fused. However, I have been using CBD, done a half hour of yoga everyday, and core strengthening every other day for the past 2 years and it has helped immensely. Stay away from psychoactive drugs, all they do is mess with your head and have no healing properties. Also with disks, stay away from chiropractors and popping your back. The extra popping will put pressure on the nerves in your spine and make things worse. Best of luck, hope the advice helped.

I once wrecked my wrist mountain biking while I was working in a kitchen. I was kind of worried because ibuprofen wasn't doing shit and I was not gonna be able to work the next day.

My weed guy had a bunch of cbd coconut oil he'd made himself and I slapped some of that on there and felt good as new 25 minutes later, full range of motion and everything.

Not saying it'll work for you op, but its certainly worth a try at this point if you can access it!

Holy bump lol. Guess you guys deserve an update. I’m feeling well now and much of my pain is gone. I got a micro dude tony back in early July and I spent the fall working out and regaining much of my strength back. I still am unable to ski this year and quite frankly I’m a bit nervous to start skiing next season but that’s something to worry about next year
