Need ideas and thoughts!!

Alright so in my physical computing class we have to make something with arduinos (basically a mini computer). A project we discussed was a wearable sensor that will track motion and change the music on your iPod accordingly. For example, the harder you shred, the more hype the music will be that plays, etc. Another project could be technology that tracks anything such as speed, jumps, distance, etc.

If you have any ideas let me know!

In high school I made and programmed a midi controller/launchpad for music production using an arduino board, it was dope except for the case i made for it was tupper-ware because i am cheap as hell

Would it be possible to slap an accelerometer or something on there and track your air time? That could be a sick way to compete with your friends even, and fairly simple.

Also a fun way to see the impact loads during landings, etc.

I had a friend who went to RPI, he was doing a computer project where he needed to mimic all the traffic in New York City on a typical day and got to use Watson supercomputer to do it. I think he use like 12 or 18% of the computer's power which is a retarded amount.

Does it have to be aruduinos? I know some cool projects for Raspberry pies. as far as arduinos go www.instructables.com has a whole community devoted to them. I do have a friend who used an arduino however to create an autopilot for an RC plane he had though which that was pretty cool.
