Need help with ski sizing

i’m most likely getting on3ps for next season. i’m 5’4 and i wonder if i should get 171 or 176 from what i’ve heard they seem shorter than you think when you grt them? my current skis are 164 and work good but if i want these skis for 1 1/2- 2 years what size?
 
how old are you bro, if you gonna grow a bit then snag the 176s cuz odds are theyre rockered and ski bit shorter

alright i’ll go with 176 and 14 so i’ll grow into them, thanks bro
 
176 is going to be very big for a 5’4 person. Depends how tall the rest of your family is to see if you’ll actually grow into them. They definitely won’t be rideable at your current height
 
On3Ps are not soft, unless you go custom and get the softer flex but even then I have no idea how soft that is. . Which ones are you wanting to get? If you know you will grow a bunch then the 176 will be fine. But if you stay at your current size its will be a big heavy ski

how old are you, how heavy are you, and how much do you realistically think you'll grow in the next year or two?

right now you are 163cm so the 164s are great for you. unless and until you grow a ton, the 176 is going to be very big on you. i wanna hear your weight and likely growth in the next couple years before answering but right now i'm saying 171 at most

im 14 and around 125-130 pounds and i expect 2-3 inch growth until next December, thinking 171 will work but still not sure but forsure not 176

yeah, even if you grew a full 3 inches this year the 171 would be basically your exact height. i imagine the idea is you don't want to grow out of them too quickly? which i get but you want to have the skis towering over you at this point. do you have a lower size option? also what are your current skis, the 164s?

yes 164 bdog edgeless and i think the next size down i 166 or somthing im not quite sure

yeah it's kinda tough to look out for growth spurts when it comes to buying skis. you'll have to decide if you want to get 166ish size and have the right size and hope you don't grow too much before you're done with them, or get something big and wait to grow into it

go with your gut. if you're sick at skiing and don't feel like you'll have an issue with skis way bigger than you, great, but i think you'll be better off with something smaller in this case
