Need Help With Science Project - Hydroponics and caffiene

So I just did this year long science project where I grew special plants in a large indoor hydroponic garden and added caffeine to some of the buckets. The plants with the caffeine didn't grow much but the regular plants grew a shitload. I have searched the vast reaches of the interweb but nothing has been any help. The papers due in like a week and if I can't figure this out so help a brotha out smart NS'ers. +K and major street cred for good answers.

Sounds like a sweet project bro. You're def going somewhere in the field. I'll call my buddy at CSI miami and tell him he should hire you.

Keep up the good work

To see the effects of caffeine on an automated, indoor agriculture center. The purpose was to see if caffeine could be used as a supplement to help plants increase growth rate and root length.

So your study suggests caffeiene stunts plant growth... i fail to see what you need help with? Finding sources to support your conclusion?

I feel like a 3rd grader could figure it out. Maybe not the most detailed analysis but something. I mean a year long project.
