Need help with new skis

Ok so I haven't been in the market for new skis in a very long time. I have only ever ridden salomon skis and my last skis were the 181 Candide Pros. So I'm a little behind on the new tech and have never even ridden a wood core ski.

I'm 6ft, 175lb and ski park mostly but also like to be able to play around all over the mtn when the weather sucks which isnt to often here in cali.

I've been looking at the 178 anthems but im not sure if they're going to be to short and soft for me. I want to be able to butter easily but also dont want to have a unstable ski on jumps around 40-50ft. Anyways I've been checking out a lot of skis but really have no access to try them out for myself so any advice or info would be appreciated.

hmmm...

well i personally dont think they'll be too short. they will be on the shorter side of what you should ride, but i think you'll be fine in the long run.

lines are a buttery park ski. thats all i have to say about that...

and

look into armada. theres a reason they've gotten so big in such a short time. everyone seems to love the AR6. You could also get a set of ARVs, little wider, little more all mountain but still rock solid for park.

new ace of spades from nordica seems pretty bad ass too, but i havent ridden it yet.

Yeah I've been checking out the AR6... They look good and I've really heard nothing but good things about them when searching around on this site. I like that they come in a 181 too. Only thing is the price... I can get a pair of last years anthems for so cheap but spending more money just might be worth it. Thanks for the help.

If I Were You Id Check Out The Faction Wednesday Its Super Light and Very Durable Its a All Mountain Ski But It Works Great In The Park Also

Sweet Dominant... Someone from Duluth! I grew up skiing Giants Ridge and rode at Spirit for a few years while I was in college. Living out in Cali now but i sure miss MN sometimes.

That's awesome man, I go to school at UMD. I'm in love with the area it's so sick, spirit is pretty awesome too except when it's like -10 plus windchill.

For the skis, 178 Anthems would be okay. I'm the same weight and height and I rode a pair half of last season. Super fun skis, buttery as hell and okay on most jumps if you land well. Maybe check out some K2 Kung Fujas for some sick buttery park skis that can rip all mountain too.
