So i recently tore out about a 5inch slit ob base right next to my edge that goes right down to the core. I ptexed the shit out of thaat for the last day of alpental operations but most of the ptex started cracking and began to fall out by the end of the day. What should i do to repair my ski? By the way there 10' Moment Jibs. +K for good feedback-k for hate

Wow, I didn't know they made Moment Jibs that long.

Seriously though, it's a better bet to base weld it. It's similar to regular p-texing, but it should hold better and have less problems with cracking and pulling out. Base welding is often used when there is a gouge alongside the edge, and should always be used when there is a core shot. Also, whenever base welding and/or repairing a core shot, you should always clean up the gouge so it has smooth edges and will cause minimal resistance against the snow which will help the repair to hold better. Unless you have the proper tools and know how to base weld(I'm guessing you don't since you made this thread), you should take it to a trusted shop to be repaired as base welding takes a bit more knowledge and skill to be done properly compared to dripping p-tex.
