Need help deciding on ski - anthem/afterbang

Hey all

Was looking at skis earlier today and I'm having trouble deciding on which ski to get (go figure lulz).

Height: 5'9

weight: 175

riding mostly rails/jibs/all mountain (very little pipe). I want

something flexible and playfull, perferably symetrical but doesn't have

to be.

I was just test flexing the anthem and the after bang, they seem about

the same but i'm not sure how well the afterbang will work all mountain.

I want to focus on park and improve this season, but I also need the ski to work well all mountain for instructing. Doesn't have to be hardcore groomer ski, just needs to work outside of the park. Riding icecoast if it makes a difference, very little pow.

go with the anthems.1. The Afterbangs are a new concept this year so you should give them at least a year to see how they are before buying those.2. If you still wanna do all mountain the Anthems are pretty much good everywhere

I have both! But really i havent skied the afterbangs yet. I would definitley go Anthems because they are good all mountain and in the park. I dont have a single complaint about them.

I'm not a big k2 fan. Havn't had good luck with their skis before.

I think I'll go with the anthems, they sound to good and are cheap.

Thanks

go anthems for sure they're definitely better for all mountain stuff and are great in the park for landings and shit

as a fellow instructor on the ice coast, i use ski blades for instructing. i have a pair of old 05 line x-flys and they are perfect for instructing, its easier to make short quick turns, much less clumsy and more more maneuverable at slow speeds, you can skate up the hill much easier, and i dont care if some little kid runs over them. i highly recommend you try to pick up a pair of blades.

but go for the anthems, their cheaper, better for all mountain, a proven design, and their a bit wider for those rare pow days.

I've used ski blades before for instructing, but I work for the adaptive program so I do mostly tethering where having something that small is hard.

but for regular stand up / bunny hill lessons ski blades are wicked helpful.

anthems for sure. and besides, you get that gnarly snowboarder graphic! that'll be great while your teaching lol.
