I have recently bought some line tac poles and they are too big for my style of riding.I know how to cut down poles by heating up the adhesive for the grip and pulling it off but the tacs are different.

They have a sort of foamy grip and i dont wanna mess them up by ripping them off.

Heres an example of what the grips like:

If anyone has cut these down any help would be appreciated.

Line makes those poles in a super duper short size... why don't you just return those ones and buy a shorter pair and not fuck them up?

You will be fine pulling the handles off. A friend of mine did it and worked great although it seems they may break. If it has trouble coming off you can just use a flathead screwdriver and help it off. The. Just glue it back on with some gorilla four glue or something

I bought them at a ski show for real cheap so i cant return them. Derek B thanks ill give it a try with a heat gun

When I did mine, I just put on a new grip after because the foam kind of shrunk and stretched from me pulling it. I work at a mini golf place and got a couple old grips from the clubs. They seem to be working fine so far.
