Need help convincing my parents

you know what gets parents stoked? good grades and helping around the house.

Make a deal with them.
 
shouldn't be hard to find $50 worth of work a week to do for the next year. do it! make the deal first though and make sure they don't have to follow up on you.

As lame as it sounds put a weekly check list up on the fridge and show them that you are serious by doing it religiously. It's important to show them that you are serious about how much you want to go.

 
i say hold your little brother hostage..... or tell them some bullshit about how hard you have worked and how skiing is your passion and u would really love your parents if they sent you. remember throw in the words love, hard work, passion and maybe a barter for good measure.. like shit i dont know i go i will do this. i had to paint my house and put up a bunch of posters in my room and ski like was a drug
 
well if u dont do anything all summer like me then they should be happy to pay but if ur super active during the sumer say it will help u in teh sport u love or pay for it ur self
 
Just save up the moeny and go, if your 18 just say :"fuck this, i'm going, be back in 2-3 weeks"

if your not 18, save up money till your 18 and then just go.
 
Good luck buddy, I offerered to pay for half my COC costs, take the greyhound to whistler, and my average is like... 87 right now.... But unfortunately they still said no, and then sent my sister to farnham for race training...
 
that's fucked up, they obviously care way more about your sister than you. You need to put an end to that shit or tell them to go fuck themselves. Some people are just really shiity parents.
 
ask her again and when she says no put on ur ski shit and start skiing on ur front lawn. shell see how much u want to go skiing
 
I'm paying for half of my camp this summer.

Just make sure that you maintain your grades and make a ton of money this summer so that you can afford it!
 
Im trying to find the cheapest way there cuz my parents wont pay anything for it. Should i go on greyhound or something?
 
my bro asked me the same thing cause he wanted to go and i told him since i was going to france in april to use that as leverage to let him go since he can go somewhere

As he says get a job and pay some of the costs. How old are you anyways? You can get a part time job if your old enough. However, most likely someone old enough isn't gonna post a thread about this.

BTW shouldn't you be worried about where your gonna ski next winter? Not next summer. Next winter is just around the corner. Start saving know and you can shred some fresh in the upcoming season. Thats where you wanna be man.

As papa said, get a job, offer to help with as much as you can, and do some extra things around home to help out.
