Need cheap skis. What ski and binding and size?

my brother is 5'8'', 155lbs and wants a cheap pair of durable skis for the park. he wants to do rails and jumps. he skis but these would be his first pair of twin tips. also looking for some suggestions for where to get the bindings mounted. if you need to know anything else just let me know. thanks in advance

are afterbangs worth it? i've heard that they can fall apart sometimes and i've read some kids saying how theirs have gotten woater logged.

i think the price range would be probably like 400-550 with bindings. possibly 600.
also, what would be a good size ski for his size

i actually have the k2 extremes (08) and i love them. but i've seen a lot of people bash the schizofrantic bindings. are they really as bad/cheap as everyone says on here? because i definitely wouldn't want my brother getting some and having them fall apart on him

yea whatever he's comfortable with! i just prefer a longer ski rather than a shorter ski.

if your really on a budget i would say go for bluehouse skis, however i would highly reccomend k2 revivals or domains. check out backcountry and evo for decent prices on them

165 is too small i think. my skis are 164s and im 5"2. also, i have extremes w/ griffon schizos and i have no complaints. i've heard negative things about schizo bindings, but i havent had any problems.

is there a noticeable difference in weight of the schizos say compared to like marker jesters of griffons?

I don't think theres any major weight difference between griffon schizos and normal griffons but idk

pick up some look pivots off of an old pair of skis. they are an amazing binding
