I ski pretty fast and weigh 165 and ski a 8, 9 or 10 DIN. never need a 13+ DIN unless you are pro level... my park skis (volkl steps, soon to be '17 volkl kinks) have the latest version of the griffon, and those are more than enough for me/ most people.

Coming from fks there's quite a few people who have had to run a slightly higher din on the sth2. So I just have to kindly disagree to the "you only need a din of 13 if you're pro". As for me I wouldn't want to go any higher or any lower din. They're perfect for me and what i like to do
