Need an all mountain ski for next year...

I am 5'9, 135 lbs. I already have a pair of skis for park so this pair would be to replace my oh so short 160 atomic c9's. I want a pair of skis that are stiff enough to be a good all mountain ski in the east, yet still be twin tip so i can go into the park if i wanted.

i was thinking trouble makers, but i hear that they arent that durable. Its not like i am going to be hitting a lot of rails with them anyways, but i need them to be able to take a pounding like my current all mountain skis...

either chronic or chronic wide...becasue u said east cost i would say not the wide

I would recommend some Ninthwards, especially if you're doing rails.

you might wanna look into the line prophet 80 for this year... they look sweet.

I would not be doing rails with this ski, but i need it so they wont come apart when I hit the occasional rock or branch in the trees. Also, I am in the east, so i dont need an especially fat ski for powder cause there isnt any here.

Skiing in NC aint so bad

I hate it when snowboarders think they are so cool because they can 50 50 a rail

volkl and rossignol make great all mountain double tips, the karma by volkl and the scratch by rossi are great

"thats how its done, balls out, first run"

Scratches are kind off soft for all-mountain. I have Trouble Makers and I love them. The only thing is they don't hold up if you're doing rails every day. You said they would be for rails, so there's no problem. They are quick edge-to-edge, light, and have tons of life. Durability isn't a problem since they fixed their topsheet last year (the year before it wasn't that bad anyway.) No problems hitting the occasional rock/tree. I have also heard very (let me repeat very) good things about the Karmas, but I've never ridden them. Freeskier said they were the best all-around twin tip.

ok well if you're not gonna do many rails then DEF get the TMs. the TMs were my rail ski this year and I hit a shitload of rails and I learned to grind this year but they are still holding up. I doubt you'll be hitting anymore rails than I did so get them NOW!

because I like poop.

Yeah, listen to Tanaka skier. TMs are the best all-mountain ski I've ever ridden (aside from the Candides which have been lost in the sands of time.)

What about the atomic triplets or deviants? I have really liked my current atomics, but dont know how well they make their twins.

i know someone who rides them but never asked how they are. Not many ppl have them as u have to be an atomic rider. In past most atomic twins have been a lot like a race ski but witha turned up tail. good if u just want to be able to lant fakie but bad for butters and shit in the park.

if u plan on attempting at making carves with this ski, does it have to be a twintip? theres plenty of amazing skis out there that you could get that you would feel really confident on and ski fast

but for twintips, karma, mad trix, big stix, and PE's are def your best bet. tms will not last as long as these nor will lines. mad trix i know are bomb proof (i hear big stix are the exact same ski basiaclly) and karmas are damn close...and PE's are...PE's

i had tms last year and they ski so well the new tms look dope and rainville and vanular rep them so well, dont do rails on them because the edges turn into pancakes

ummm look into some atomic tweaks the PE's...umm if u like a bit fatter skis look at the 4frnt msps and fujis and fs's so be alright at all mtn
