Need advice: Ski length in park

I'm looking at getting atomic triplets but am not sure which length yet: 163cm or 171cm.

I am 168cm tall, weigh 57kg, female and beginner in the park.

Would appreciate your opinion!

Personal preference. I wouldn't want my park skis to be taller than me though, I'm 186 or so and ride 180 Ar5s in park. So my advice would be 163.

does weight particuarly matter for the park?

or should you just choose the ski on the basis of your height. im 6'2'' so thats about 75 inches and 190 cm

so i should probably looking at a 183?

providing i get the stls. i will be mainly jib.

oh yea sorry for the hijack, but i didn't want to start another thread since the regulars here have probably seen many.

i completely agree with JDmay. for park, def don't get skis that dwarf you. i mean, i'm 178cm and i've got 169cm skis, so that may be a little too short, but i would rather have skis a bit short, than a bit long.

i pooped a hammer

IF you plan on keepign these ski as you ge better, then ALWAYS choose big over small if you are having trouble making the deicision. SMaller will be easier to learn on. It'll be a little easier to spin and stuff, but once you learn, long skis will just give you more stability and you will feel much much better. I would get the long ones. Im 5'5 and I ride 177s. I dont think I would go any shorter.

Mikee, would you agree though that having the shorter skis at the beginning is a lot easier and helps you progress faster?

Another thing... why tripets?

if you want something to ride pretty easily...get foam core skis...they will suck if you ride them like over the 2nd year but are soft and forgiving...i personally like wood...but go for triplets or tweaks...if you're learning..get somewhat light to med. weight skis

the length of my ski boot is just a little under 300cm. my normal shoe size is USA 7.

why do you recomend the 171s?

that's easy: I won a freeride cross sponsored by Atomic and the first prize is a ski of my choice. I dont have any twins so I'm looking at getting the triplets.

The next question is though, do I get Triplet urbans or HP. Atomic told me the urbans are stiffer under the boot since it has 2 edges, the HP triplets are better for carving.

Get the urbans if it's an only park ski.

Congrats on the win

'Duran Duran bought Armada, Armada bought Microsoft, Microsoft bought MSP and AOL, AOL owns Time4 which owns the MountainSportsMedia which owns SKi, Skiing and RIP Freeze... so Armada now owns McDonalds and Coke.

Hard to say, since no one's skied them yet. I'd get triplets... just personal preference.
