I just got a pair of 2012 Line Chronics, they're 173cm's . I'm 5'11 150lbs, 16 yrs old. Even though it's too late now to return them, do you think these are too small for me, or are they a good size, I'm getting into park skiing but I'm very comfortable with riding skis.

thanks +K for helpful replies

Why are you asking when you can't do anything about it?

But yes, I think they might be a bit too small. I would've gone with 178 if I were you.

i know i cant do anything about it, but its not too late to learn from my mistakes for my next purchase, they feel fine but thanks for the input, +k

It's my 1st year in the park (2nd if you count 1's/straight boxes last year) and I just picked up some 178cm '13 Chronics. I'm 5'11" and they feel fine. The 173s might feel a little short once you get better.

I'm 6' and I feel my 178's are too small. I would def say yours are but there's nothing you can do about it.Sometimes you can find people trying to trade for smaller skis, give ST a look.

They will be fine, the 2012 Chronic is a pretty solid/stable ski and with full camber the 173 will give you plenty of support for starting out in the park.

rode some park today on them, they feel like the perfect size for me, slid my first boxes sideways and did some 270s off. Definitely a great ski for anyone looking to buy 'em. Except the durability is terrible the top sheet chips really bad. Fun ski and really a do everything ski, pow and all

im only 5'6, second but pretty much first year in the park and im using 173 and they feel right. yours might be a little small for you

im 5' 9" and i have a pair of 173's they work just fine and i love them, but i could also even see myself riding the 178's and probably being just as content. i think ull do just fine!

just because the topsheet gets scratched doesn't mean they aren't durable. chips in the topsheet has no effect on performance dude

i know the top sheet doesn't affect the performance obviously, but some people, like myself dont want their topsheet to wrecked after a couple laps in the park

That's like complaining about your tires wearing down when you drive. Topsheet chipping is just something that happens, especially on sandwich skis.

might be a little short. Im 5'8 and have 171's and could maybe move up to a bigger size. either way, for getting into park, they shouldnt be an issue at all.

top sheet is fine, chips come with park riding i guess, they're awsome skis for park tho and a very manageable size

After one day of park mine have only a couple chips around the edges of the top sheet. Sure it sucks a bit but there's not much you can do about it.
