Need advice from the Women of NS

To all the schooler Ladies,

Looking to get some pants for my girlfriend for christmas. She wants insulated pants. This is the most important part. She would prefer pink but anything bright will be good. She got new pants last year but they weren't warm enough for the east coast winter.

I wish oakley made puffy pants for girls. Why is it so hard to find GOOD insulated or lined pants for chicks. Most are just shells!

What do you wear? Is it warm? Where can I buy it?

Links to where I could buy your reccomendations would be awesome!

Why do they have to be girls pants? What about an insulated guys pant in a SM or MED? It'll give you a ton more options.

This ! It is really hard finding good girls pants, so I just wear guys. I'm a small girl 5'2 110 lbs, and a guys medium/large fits me baggy, so if she's around that size, and you want something more fit for her get her a size small.

Tall T aprons are sick; the latest in kitchen steeze. ... but the guy was asking about pants.

Seems like almost every ski clothing co. sells pink pants. If it were me, I'd look for a ski swap kind of thing in your area. Not that I'm cheap, but ski swaps are a great way to go. Most shops unload their last years clothing. When it comes to pink pants, who is going to know whether they are this years or last years?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

yesssssssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhh

yeahhhhh

sorry

SHUP THE FACK UPP!!!

sorry

my buddy's fiance picked some orage pants up last time she visited utah and she loves them. they were as insulated as my northface ones are, and she was just as concerned with the fashion side as the technical side and was very happy with them on both fronts.

Word good input, keep it coming. I'll look into orage, hadn't thought about that yet.

BTW, These threads are hilarious. It's pretty much the equivalent of serveral people having an intelligent adult conversation with unattended children running around and screaming in the backround.

my girl has 2 pairs of Roxy pants and she never complains about them and she is always cold. she also just got the Gretchen bleiler Oakley pants and they feel kinda warm.

I know spyder makes insulated women's pants. not sure if they have some in pink though... check it out bro

the problem with getting small mens pants is they dont fit around the hips...theyre always to tight because girls have bigger hips than guys. if you gets mens i'd get a medium or large. i dont know if you're attached to finding them from a ski brand but burton has good insulated and good fitting womens pants. girls shit is always limited though :-(

that pretty much sums up ns in one sentence except at times" intelligent conversation" is definately debatable

something needs to be done. what is the internet equivilent of this?

Buy something with quality waterproofing and vents, and then pick up some long underwear to go with it.
Layering is really the only way to go. What will she do on those sunny spring days when its warm? Insulated pants will be waaaaaaaaaaay too hot.

Tell her to wear PJ pants under her snow pants...thats what I do and it's sex

But if that isn't an option just buy her some M or L(if she wants to be thuggin) pants from orage or oakly or even the NS B/S/T forum..I am sure you could find some there for super cheap

um im 5'4" 105 lbs and i wear a mens xl... just wear suspenders

i just picked up some rossi pants and they're super insulated and warm also salomon makes some pretty warm pants

What...the...fuck?

Also, this should prob be in Gear Talk, but oh well, it'll prob get moved there pretty soon.

The pants Oakley makes lined with Thinsulate in the knees and ass are very warm. Both my girlfriend and I wear those in Colorado.

Great input from everybody.

She will not go for men's pants. She's not hyphy at all haha. She coaches racing but likes to wear freeride clothing cause race gear is not where it's at.

5'1 in a men's XL??? How can you walk in those? I am 5'8 in a men's L and that's plenty baggy.

...and yes I know it's sopposed to be in gear talk but I didn't think alot of chicks would see it there.

Thanks for the help everybody. Will post what I end up buying!!

I'm a 4'9" 95lb girl and I wear mens xxl pants, I fart them up all day on the slopes, and they hide my big fat ass.
