Natural/unnatural rail

Anyone else find they can do rails natural fine and then just can't do un-natural, despite trying it lots. I hipcheck everytime even though all im thinking is "lean forward".

I mean rails are sweet natty, but it kind of limits you when it comes to 270's on and stuff. I just have to go straight for the 450.

just gotta keep doing it, over and and over and over. I had worse falls learning natural slides than I did with unnatural. It may be one thing to think "lean forward," you have to make yourself lean forward; a combination of mind and body.

keep at it and itll come around

If you fall down doing them, think about what you did that made you fall. Then hike back up and try it again immediately. On your next attempt focus on correcting what you did wrong the last time. Keep hiking up and trying. Get as many tries in as fast as possible, this will help you see your mistakes and correct them faster.

if fount on really long straight rails unnatty is easier because i focus a lot more then when im goin regular. all i can say is just keep trying and learn on boxes and shit i dunno.

Took me a solid summer camp and a whole season to ge comforable with unnatty and i still can only do f-d and flat comforably and i still have trouble with down rails. Just remember its like learning from the beginning so it will take more time than it took you to learn natty because its so different. So just keep at it, it will get better.

this will sound weird but when you 270 on instead of thinkin of it as unnatty and lookin at the end of the rail just look back up the rail and think like your just doin a nomral slide natty, cept your goin in the other direction. then you're upper body will probably shift to teh end of the rail by accident anyway. that or do a dope pretzel out. or if you aren't spinnin on think of doin basically a one foot griding just on one foot. odds are you wont commit enough to actually pick up your back foot but you'll end up with a lot of weight on the front foot.
